Would be interesting to know if the driver was one of the ex Tyne and Wear Metro drivers that Lumo took on.
If so, he or She would have no high speed experience, something that certain Tocs like Eurostar always used to insist on when recruiting qualified drivers.
Bearing in mind Lumo spend much of their lives at 125mph maybe this would have been a wise thing to require when recruiting drivers?
Going from Trams to high speed intercity is a bit of a difference and requires very different skills.
