Pretty much expected to see the £1.40 evening singles to be cut.

As for the service cuts, the 521 Halifax to Illingworth route have seen some journeys cut (namely the 2320 Monday to Saturday and the 2120, 2200, 2230, 2310 on Sunday's) but I'm guessing this is down to two reasons:
- lack of demand
- vandalism

I still think that the whole 509, 510, 511, 512 and 513 (Halifax to Mixenden) and the 521, 522 and 523 (Halifax to Illingworth) routes should be somehow merged creating a 520 (that could run as Halifax to Illingworth via Pellon, Mount Tabor and Mixenden) with the 524 and 525 running from Halifax to Wainstalls via Mixenden with one route serving City Lane Top the other City Lane Bottom, this would mean that you could manage six buses an hour serving north Halifax (four per hour to Illingworth, three p/h to Mixenden and two p/h to Wainstalls).

The double deckers for York are due fairly soon, but the single deckers are at the back of the First order due March 2024.

Well, exciting times about: buslistsontheweb.co.uk (BLotW) has somehow confirmed the chassis of York's 20 StreetDeck Electroliners is in production. You'll have to scroll down or CTRL+F to find York's.

So far, fleet numbers and registrations are:
36501 - MF23 ZVN
36502 - MF23 ZVO
36503-36520 are unconfirmed at this time.

I don't suppose you have a link for that 626 change by any chance? That would leave the last bus from Bradford to Baildon at 20:08.

It does just that (although there is a 634 at 2155 but that shares very little route with the 626).

Cheers for that. I did actually check that page, but the "upcoming timetable" didn't register in my brain! I'm not sure those last three Baildon - Shipley runs will last long though, seems an odd decision to cut the Bradford section off. I expect at some point these will be shipped of to someone like TLC, if that isn't already the plan?

First few may arrive in October(ish), most to arrive in the new year. James St depot being fully electrified at the moment. All in service by March 2024 if timescales stick

Believe the plan is for 11101-5 and 11107 to just be scrapped now rather than go to Aberdeen once electrics are in service. Shame as they’re such nice buses just need looking after properly

They’ll be gone as soon as changes to the 2 are finalised & electrics are in service - the electric buses are all too tall for Leeman Road so 2s and 10s need diverting permanently

If I was to guess I would say for the 2 in via the outbound route in both directions, turning at the Station Avenue/Station Road gyratory

The Kites are a similar height to other electric buses. It's the batteries on the roof that add the additional height so First probably don't have much choice here but to divert

A Kite EV is 11’1” and will fit under the tunnel near the station (12’). They are too tall for the Leeman Road bridge further down (10’9”) which will be bypassed by the York Central development. So presumably 2 and 10 will use that route

They should be retained and placed onto the X63/363 (Huddersfield to Bradford) or better still the 398/399 Storthes Hall uni shuttle that'd free up a decker or two. Quick lick of paint and no one will tell that they were used elsewhere.

11101-05 and 11107 in theory cannot be withdrawn until the new (bypass) road around York Central is built which avoids the low bridge. However, I don’t think those who use the Minster Vets stop will be happy, I wonder if they even realise this yet!

In James St depot. It suffered a fire and so was being slowly rebuilt. It was also being a christmas tree of spares for 11101-5 - a bit of a paradox, granted.

What are these possible changes to route 2 mentioned previously? One York driver told me, probably about 3 years ago (!) route 2 would be changed to return to Rawcliffe Bar via the hospital long before the hospital bus started!!!

11107 believe it's a contract thing cos it was supposed to go to Aberdeen once rebuilt
Changes to route 2: (most likely) one of
- a Bootham double-run and Station Ave turn-around
- as now until Water Lane, then straight over Water Lane bridge, down Holgate Road and past the station to resume current route (this one is probably most likely)
- becoming a bigger loop using the ring road out of Rawcliffe Bar and then either the full length of Holgate Road all the way from Poppleton or via the Millfield Lane turnoff & bus gate then Holgate Road
