Hi

My partners currently working away (liverpool)
And i tend to travel up friday night, and come back sunday (to walsall)

Its not ideal but we have no choice for a few months.

The last three weeks have been hell, no actual train back to walsall and this weekend took 5 hours to get home (four just to get to wolverhampton where
i got a bus).

I understand its due to a strike by london midland, but i havent been able to find out how long this is set to run?

Does anyone know if strikes will happen again next week and we should avoid using the trains?.

Thanks.

I expect so - it's happened the last four weeks in a row, and I don't see any change likely as there seems no sign of any resolution to the dispute.

Its gonna continue until the Unions and London Midland reach an agreement which looks very unlikely in the short term at present.

you may be better travelling via Warrington (or Wigan), and taking a Virgin train to Wolverhampton or Birmingham.

I would probably book seats, though.

(If Virgin added a stop at Stafford then it would make life a lot easier!)

Thanks i think i might do that, the problem this week is so many people wanted the virgin trains. The crewe-wolverhampton virgin train was so jammed they had problems closing the doors!.

Ill take a look see if virgin do a full return service from wolverhampton.

Thanks again
