That contradicts what I have heardEWR will be using 196s

I think that's just before the full service is introduced.EWR will be using 196s
I recorded it as off lease on 29/05/23 but it's likely to have been just before that dateWhen did 007 go off lease? I had it last month with 009 and 114.
Unless you work for Angel or TfW and have access to the leasing paperwork, you won't know the date.I recorded it as off lease on 29/05/23 but it's likely to have been just before that date
It went down to Landore with 005 a couple of weeks back. When did 007 go off lease? I had it last month with 009 and 114.
Hence the quite obvious reason I stated "I recorded it" and that it was "likely to be before that date" I recorded it on is because I am fully aware that my records will not be perfectly correct and wouldn't want anyone to believe this to be the caseUnless you work for Angel or TfW and have access to the leasing paperwork, you won't know the date.
An awful lot of BR rolling stock was withdrawn from BR using the condemned word and the symbol painted on the side. I remember a mate of mine travelling on a Birmingham - Largs excursion back in the 1980s using Mk1 stock based at Oxley. It was largely made up of MK1 FOs and two of the numbers were 3096 and 3098 and at least one had the circular condemned symbol painted on the bodysides. Fast forward to 2023 and the "condemned" vehicle is no longer, and operates for either LSL or WCR 40 odd years later. The same applies with the use of “withdrawn”, which is prevalent as a term for stock taken out of services. “Withdrawn” and “condemned” can by used interchangeably and really relate to vehicles being moved to a specific status on the national vehicle register.
When did 004 move to Landore? I was under the impression it was still active.https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/service/gb-nr:73554/2023-06-30/detailed

Reports this is 175104 that has now gone into off lease storage at Holyhead and 175112 moving to Chester for repairs.
I make that....
175002 (Landore)
175004 (Landore)
175005 (Landore)
175006 (Landore)
175007 (Landore)
175008 (Moved by road - reformed with other damaged part of 101)
175011 (Crewe Gresty)
175104 (Holyhead)
175106 (Holyhead)
175001 is stored at Holyhead but still with TFW, probably waiting end of lease works.
Part of it still in service. Seen 79704, 56751 and 50708 formed as 175101.When did 004 move to Landore? I was under the impression it was still active.
I'm talking about the designated unit, most of them are mismatched sets.Part of it still in service. Seen 79704, 56751 and 50708 formed as 175101.
It hasn’t. It’s in Holyhead. When did 004 move to Landore? I was under the impression it was still active.
I didn't realise this why was this the case??I'm talking about the designated unit, most of them are mismatched sets.
Apologies, i had it as not moved for a while and assumed it had gone to Landore. When did 004 move to Landore? I was under the impression it was still active.
They've been reformed many times over the years of service its very hard to keep track of what's what now!I didn't realise this why was this the case??
Thanks.Apologies, i had it as not moved for a while and assumed it had gone to Landore.
Good coach from 008 went onto 101 if I remember correctly so 008 with the bad coach from 101 is now with Alstom for repairs. What has happened with the re-formation of 008 and 101?
Any idea on the formation of 101 at the moment then?Good coach from 008 went onto 101 if I remember correctly so 008 with the bad coach from 101 is now with Alstom for repairs.
No sorry, only know what was previously posted onto the tfw 175 shortages threadAny idea on the formation of 101 at the moment then?
Which is the correct discussion for 175s still in use, to be honest. I created this one to keep a record of those officially stood downNo sorry, only know what was previously posted onto the tfw 175 shortages thread

Yes quite, any news on what's likely to be the next units to be stood down?Which is the correct discussion for 175s still in use, to be honest. I created this one to keep a record of those officially stood down![]()
Thanks for this but I thought you mods posted stuff like this in red so it is clearly visible as breaking forum rules?Which is the correct discussion for 175s still in use, to be honest. I created this one to keep a record of those officially stood down![]()
He isn't a mod is why just the thread creator. Thanks for this but I thought you mods posted stuff like this in red so it is clearly visible as breaking forum rules?
I don’t know whether you’re trying to be funny, but I only politely informed you that there is a more appropriate thread in use in case you weren’t aware. At no point did I tell you what to do, or say anything that could be considered backseat moderation. Thanks for this but I thought you mods posted stuff like this in red so it is clearly visible as breaking forum rules?
While I have no inside knowledge and cannot confirm anything, I would imagine the couple of remaining /0s which have a far stricter deadline than the /1s, but then some of the operational three car sets (if not all) are probably in a vile state too.Yes quite, any news on what's likely to be the next units to be stood down?
I never said that you had told me what to do, in fact I was equally as polite as you in thanking you for the information you provided. I'd just seen you offering advice on where and where not to post things in plenty of other threads so presumed you were staff as I don't really use the forum enough to know who is and isn't staff. Just a bit of confusion on my partI don’t know whether you’re trying to be funny, but I only politely informed you that there is a more appropriate thread in use in case you weren’t aware. 111 is still at Longsight. AFAIK the plan is still to put it back together eventually in order to hand it back to the leasing company, it does seem unlikely that it will see further passenger use with tfw though.Anyway to move on from that confusion, is 175111 still at Longsight and still classed as "withdrawn"?
My sincerest of apologies then, as I had misinterpreted the post entirely then, as a sarcastic way of suggesting I was trying to backseat moderate. I do apologise, and will send you a DM.I never said that you had told me what to do, in fact I was equally as polite as you in thanking you for the information you provided. Are all three carriages there or are some in new consists?111 is still at Longsight. AFAIK the plan is still to put it back together eventually in order to hand it back to the leasing company, it does seem unlikely that it will see further passenger use with tfw though.
I imagine all 27 class 175s will have to be handed back in good order, so there is likely to be a whole lotta post contract repairs to be done, unless TfW and DfT agree a scrap deal with a handful of the worst condition cars. I am guessing the three most recent fire s ( Wilmslow, Gresford and Wilmslow are still stored U/S.111 is still at Longsight. The Gresford and 1st Wilmslow fire ones were both sent to Ilford and the second Wilmslow one was repaired, pit back in traffic before subsequently going to Landore for hand backI am guessing the three most recent fire s ( Wilmslow, Gresford and Wilmslow are still stored U/S.
