Hi! Not posted for a long while but about 9 am this morning, after dropping my son at Tamworth station, I got stuck behind a low loader, carrying what appeared to be an un-numbered, Class 47 in light green undercoat. It was being transported to Kingsbury EMR, I assume for scrapping. I thought it might be of interest to those who keep track of such things. Sorry for no pics but I was driving alone!

47703? It has been in undercoat for a while and reported in latest Rail Express magazine that HNRC were looking to dispose of 47703/714/715 with one option being scrap

Sounds more like 47769 possibly?
Correct, it’s been confirmed as 47769. A bit of a sad end for this one, it was a runner with the Riviera fleet before HNRC took it on. It then had a very slow and protracted overhaul started on it, but never finished since. It was last in Primer Green.
