we'll be seeing no more daily sport in the newsagents anymore; it has gone bust! (excuse the pun) RIP I have fond memories of it when a lad

I can't remember ever seeing people read it (although, given the content, it's probably reasonable to assume that it wasn't read in public!). But, as a cashier, I've never sold it either. It's hardly a mainstream paper. Wikipedia said it had a circulation of 84,000; a small figure in comparison to the Star's 734,311; the Mirror's 1.2 million; or the Sun's 2.9 million (to pick random tabloids for comparison).

hahahaha You must admit, it was an entertaining read back in the late 80's, early 90's. Sad to see it go after all this time

Surprisingly always copies in the local chippy, so someone at least is reading it in public.

Considering the antics in a certain recent thread, it may come as a surprise to hear that I for one will not be disappointed by this...!

Once you get below Metro levels of quality, I will not read a newspaper (assuming it counts as a newspaper and not gentlemen's literature of course, in which case I'm even less likely to read!). The Max Mosley thing started it, and by the time I left home 18 months later it was terminal.
