I presume you passed your interview? Well done! I believe there's courses that are occurring every/every other month at the moment. Although, don't quote me on that. You may be waiting a while, some people on the forum have mentioned an 18 month wait. Depot depending.

Im currently in a pool waiting on a position, very little on the forum regarding pools in 2023 over the next few months or how many are actually waiting, Rumoured that an April course for the north has been delayed and that the next one for guards is June, No idea regarding how many and from what depots the next lot of candidates will be from. Im prepared for a long and grueling wait for my turn

If going by what I've been told, there could be between 6-12 people on the course give or take. On my course we have 4 Carmarthen, 4 Cardiff. Hopefully you're not waiting too long, but you may have some wait...

Anybody with any updates on any courses coming up all I know is that my friend who had his interview four weeks earlier than me he has got a start date for the 16th of may but I am still in the talent pool only had my interview on the 1st of March for a conductor in Carmarthen fingers crossed it won’t be a long wait

Carmarthen will be a longer wait than a depot like Cardiff. Have you emailed to ask if there's any updates? When I applied there was a 3 month wait for Cardiff. I've known some people to wait 12+ months for Carmarthen. There's no real answer with how long you'll be in the pool sadly.

Courses have been a bit less thick and fast of late as some of the trainers have been assisting with 197 training up north, I presume its been similar down south with the introduction of various new classes.

12 weeks classroom - and around 12-14 weeks route learning

Gone very quiet recently regarding trainee guards courses, Is there any currently undeway at chester , last I heard was the January course, Nothing since . Any one know whats happening ?

Speaking to a trainer the other day who says there's a few more courses starting over the next few months for the North depots, can't remember how many but I'm sure there's at least 4.

As far as I know there's 1 underway at the moment, trainers have been pretty tied up with 197/230 malarkey recently!

There is a course starting June 26. So, they are still progressing with the recruitment drive.

Thats good to know that there a few again this year, currently In the pool waiting on a cousre for Holyhead, Llandudno Junction, Been so quiet on here recently, But the 175 197 issues must have caused a massive impact on training. Hope to get started Soon...
