How did it catch fire

Attached a photo of it in the depot. Not looking as bad as was first thought at the moment and could well come back, will find out in due course. It is thought the engine caught fire and then the rest is history as they say!

Real isn't all that bad, looks like it could be salvaged from disposal. We'll see!

34218, 47005 and 47062 on Harrington and 47.
20473 on Moorclose 50.
20436 was Moorclose 51, but 47059 replaced it, 20436 went onto 30/31.
34616 also on 30/31.
52628 on annexe.
20994 was involved in a Mass Traffic Jam on Salterbeck, it was either on 85 or 30/31.

Yep, super rear ad for ASDA. Will be back out when it's new engine is fitted.

Andrew can't wait to see it back out! He must on drugs.

It better had be better! Found it much better than the Scania's when it was actually on the road..... A few more Tridents would certainly be useful up here Suppose it'll only be a dream though!

Not much worth noting from a quick visit to town this morning. All town services are low floor, all solos + 34218. Still no sign on 34215, which has been absent for a couple of weeks now? :roll: Was hoping that 34079 was out to play, yes, you heard me right! But no such luck, if you can call it luck :roll: Two 56plate darts on 30/31, with 20473... which appeared to be running very late on arrival at Workingon from the Port.

Noticed yesterday that the bottom part of the rear seats on the top deck of 18382 are leather like they are on our 10 plate Scans. Not sure if the ones on the bottom deck have been done but looks good.

20994 done a few runs on Moorclose 50. It was replaced by 47023. 20994 done the 1540 47.
34218 replaced 20436 on short 300, after being on Harrington & Seaton. It was replaced on Harrington & Seaton by 47059.
16649 on 30/31.

20436 later on Staff shift.
20923 on 85.
16447 on 87.

I was on 34218 into town 15:21 from the Oval.

BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend at Carlisle is apparently providing a shuttle bus service to the venue (Carlisle Airport) - weekend of 14th & 15th May.

Out of interest, does anyone know if Stagecoach will be providing this service?

Gwynedd Council with Arriva Wales and Silver Star Holidays provided the Big Weekend in Bangor at last years event.

With 26 Enviro 400 Cast offs proabably staying in Newcastle from Routes 39/40 when the Hybrids arrive i doubt we will see this back in action.

Before MBonwick asks, what was I doing with a Plaxton Cheetah on Town Service. Yes, my bus broke-down on my relief driver workshy.

And just for the record, one of Morecambe depot Tridents also broke-down.

Disposals 90586 (Ford Escort Van W332 RHH) parked up in a residential area in Workington later on this afternoon. Quite a long time since I last saw that thing out and about.

One of the 08 reg Solo's on 2015 X5 to Cockermouth for a change (could have been 47616). Makes a change from the usual Dart or useless Merc engined Solo!


52409 branded up for its services with Stagecoach Bluebird. Nice variation of the Coastliner style! (not my picture). Ex Western coaches 52416 and 52418, that were moved to Carlisle briefly, are also going to be receiving the branding.

20909 and 16393 next to chassis wash. 2 more Darts unbranded in the depot. 47721 arrived in Depot around 15.15 from somewhere with a driver.
