I've just booked a ticket for a Crewe to Glasgow train on 27th May and have just noticed it will go via the G&SW north of Carlisle, stopping at Kilmarnock.

I haven't been interested in railways as a hobby for over twenty years, so I've no idea how these things happen nowadays ... but would my train be "dragged", or will they use a diesel Voyager? (It's VT1036 from BNS if that helps)

TIA, Stu

I would keep an eye an eye on the service from Carlisle to Glasgow that goes via the GSW. Last two times I have gone for the first service South from Glasgow Central it has been cancelled at short notice and trip in a coach an hour later.
