I did actually personally notice that the gang of kids was a mix of different races and that this (if not the behaviour itself) was actually quite good to see.
Wha-? Mixed friend groups are very common among younger generations, especially in London!

Absolutely; I don't think I was aware that racism was even a thing when I was at primary school, it was totally normal for anyone to be friends with anyone regardless of attributes like skin colour, religion or anything like that; it was completely inconcequential. But if we're to discuss this further, it would need to be in a new thread.

Race has absolutely nothing to do with the incident in question.

Now that I'm back home and have a bit more time - I appreciate this video has been removed but has anyone got a link to one of the more troubling videos @yorkie was talking about? I stand by my analysis of the original video, had it been in isolation, as "not a big deal" but I also pretty much unhesitatingly defer to his analysis of the channel and its participants as a whole given his professional experience. Or has the poster been entirely removed from tiktok?

The channel still exists ( https://www.tiktok.com/@menacec1ty/ ) however the worst videos have been removed, for example in one video they go up to a man and verbally assault and threaten him, standing right in front of him shouting directly in his face; I can't see that one, and other particularly bad ones on there any more.

However there are some pretty antisocial videos which do remain.

Unfortunately, some of those morons in the videos are quite notorious for these actions. Their TikTok pages are known for going into unauthorised areas (within shops etc.) and being overall idiots. It's a shame as it puts a bad name to the majority of teenagers/young people using public transport in a proper manner.
Even more notorious now; this one has had 7million views:

The British live-streamer who walked into a random house to harass the people living there stole a person's dog at the park for clout.
Any idea what platform he streams on and what his name on that platform is?
Main profile - secretmizzy on TikTok but appears to be gone Mizzytube on YouTube

He is popping up all over Twitter now; here is another one:

The live-streamer who walks into random houses and stole an elderly woman’s dog also makes videos stepping into random people’s cars to harass them.
Keep seeing videos from TiKTok/YouTuber ‘Mizzy’(Bacari Ogarro) Pretty sick of seeing just how much of a horrible person he is, here’s some videos below showing how vile he is Maybe the @metpoliceuk can actually do something when someone is openly documenting their crimes?
Here’s the one that people saw recently Walking into someone’s house, pretty terrifying, children around too He later bragged how viral he went (will post below)
Another one people saw recently was stealing an elderly woman’s dog Can’t imagine how terrifying that must have been, esp when owners always have concerns around dog thefts
Another hilarious video, this time asking women late at night if they want to die You’ll see in following videos, he has a thing for targeting women
For example, these two scenes, where he’ll go up to women in public and openly harass them @TfL have placed adverts condemning harassment on their network Meanwhile this guy is doing it for YouTube and TikTok
Going into a local library and just destroying books, harassing the staff Just a horrible person

He's also a racist:
A TikTok prankster has been arrested for assault after he posted a series of videos that appear to show him harassing Jews....

Sadly the legal system does not have provision to bring people like him to justice, and if any individual tried to administer anything approaching justice, they'd be jailed.

There isn't any provision for stopping people who behave like this from continuing to do so.

Just going back to this:
I quite like the video and it’s made me laugh. Nobodies been harmed and yes it’s a bit antisocial, but let’s just keep some context with it - the ridiculous correlations between the breakdown of society or fights at school or even worse, sexual assault - are unbelievably brainless comments to make....
I won't say on here what I think of people who have opinions along these lines; you can use your imaginations!

Cab security requires an urgent review.
T-Key access is far too easy.
Imagine someone being able to access a driving cab whilst a train is moving.

It happens. I was on 313201 and some drunkard pulled open the door to the cab and proceeded, claiming he thought it was a toilet. The driver told him to leave immediately and at the next stop the train was stopped and the whole front carriage locked out of use. Well it was attempted but the locks on the intercarriage doors were as effective as one on the driver’s door and couldn’t be locked easily. It took a member of the public to apply a lot of force to the door before the guard could get it locked!

Never thought I'd catch myself saying this, but are ASBOs (Anti-Social Behaviour Orders) still a thing? If so I think we've got a prime candidate in this "Mizzy" fellow.

The MPS issued a statement overnight to advise he has been arrested: https://news.met.police.uk/news/teenager-arrested-in-connection-with-social-media-footage-467155

An 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing a public nuisance and is currently in police custody. He was arrested on the evening of Monday, 22 May.

The arrest follows an investigation into social media footage which featured a number of incidents, including apparently unsolicited approaches made towards members of the public in the street or on transport, and entering addresses without the apparent permission of the owners.

Detective Chief Superintendent James Conway of the Central East Command Unit, responsible for policing in Hackney and Tower Hamlets, said: “I do not underestimate the widespread upset, distress and concern that these videos caused.

"Some people have referred to these as ‘prank’ videos, but I hope that this significant development demonstrates just how seriously we have been taking this investigation since this footage began circulating online.

"A number of these videos were produced, impacting on many different people and our investigation remains ongoing as we seek to build a strong picture of both the activity featured in the footage and impact on the public.”

Based on that video filmed at Stoke Newington Station, "Causing a Public Nuisance" is the least of his worries... approaching a young woman and touching her hair without consent is sexual harassment in my book, and he then doubles down by asking "Do you want to die?" in a very menacing manner. That's not "a prank", it's assault.

BBC article on the subject of this person's arrest here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-65693309

An 18-year-old man is due to appear in court following widely shared social media footage showing him walking into someone's home without permission.
Bacari-Bronze O'Garro, known on social media as Mizzy, has been charged with failing to comply with a Community Protection Notice.
Other videos allegedly show him pestering train passengers and entering a man's car claiming it is his Uber.
Mr O'Garro, from Hackney, will appear in custody before magistrates later.
The charge follows an investigation into social media footage posted online that include apparently unsolicited approaches made towards members of the public in the street and in their home.
Det Ch Supt James Conway said: "Understandably there has been extensive comment on this case in the media and on social media.
"Now that an individual has been charged, I would ask that the judicial process be respected and allowed to take its proper course."

Ok, and bearing in mind this statement:
"Now that an individual has been charged, I would ask that the judicial process be respected and allowed to take its proper course."

It’s probably best we put hold on this for now and look at again once that’s happened.
Thank you everyone.

Update from MPS, he appeared in court yesterday and was convicted of failing to comply with a Community Protection Notice.

From Met Police website:
His sentence was time served in custody on remand, a £200 fine, £85 victim surcharge and £80 costs.

He was also issued with a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) for a period of two years, expiring in May 2025, and prohibiting him from trespassing into any private property, including residential homes, business properties, school and retail outlets; uploading directly or indirectly any original video content on social media including but not limited to; Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter and YouTube without prior documented consent of the people in that content; and attending Westfield Stratford City.

And to add a bit more…

A London teenager who walked into a stranger's house to make a TikTok prank video has been arrested, two days after appearing in court.
Bacari-Bronze O'Garro, better known as Mizzy, was detained on Friday by a plain clothes officer for allegedly breaching a criminal behaviour order.
On Wednesday, the 18-year-old admitted breaching a community protection notice over the 15 May trespass in Hackney.
O'Garro's prank videos have seen him become notorious in recent days.
In the latest arrest, the Metropolitan Police officer can be seen handcuffing the teenager and telling him that he is alleged to have uploaded two videos to social media - an apparent breach of the terms of the behaviour order that was imposed on him on Wednesday.
