My family and I are going on holiday to london next june, flying from Edinburgh airport to Heathrow terminal 5 on monday 19th june returning on Saturday 24th june. So my questions are:

1) what is the best way to travel from terminal 5 to premier inn county hall with heavy suitcases. Piccadilly line to central london then change to Waterloo or Elizabeth line to paddington/bond street then change to Waterloo.

2) we are going to see ABBA voyage that evening, again would best way be jubilee line from Waterloo to pudding mill lane via canary wharf or Stratford on the DLR?

3) We are hoping to do a open top bus tour. Is golden tours the only one that does live guide tours?

4) we are hoping to do a river cruise. What is the best one in terms of sights/price/stops etc?

Also, are there going to be any planned anti vaccine/just stop oil protests etc scheduled for the week (we return to Edinburgh on Saturday 24th), dont want to run into those groups whilst going around to captial

One other option is the 490 bus from Terminal 5 to Feltham and the mainline train into Waterloo, although I think the slight challenge is that the 490 doesn't pull into Feltham station, so a short walk down New Road is necessary. However, it avoids steps.

Much easier to go via Stratford. Canary Wharf LU and DLR stations aren't quite in the same place, whereas at Stratford you just walk to the front end of the Jubilee line train and go upstairs to get to the Docklands Light Railway. Clearly it depends on how much time you have.

bit too early, 2 weeks before is the latest they could announce any.
There are currently no strikes scheduled for those days, but that could change.
If there are rail strikes, the Elizabeth line would likely still run, alongside the tube, I'm not aware of any tube disputes so doubt they'd strike.

There is a cruise from Westminster Pier to Greenwich, with a commentary, which is enjoyable. If you have a walk up to the Observatory, you get good views of Canary Wharf.

One tip for post-ABBA is to hang around after the show finishes, have another drink and then use the toilets. Amazingly the queue for Pudding Mill Lane DLR stop has completely gone and you can walk straight on to the platform.

A quick question regarding my holiday. We are scheduled to leave Edinburgh airport at 1010 on Monday 19th and lanede at Heathrow at 1140 . I've noticed that the flight has been occasionally cancelled in recent weeks, so do british airways put people on that flight onto the next available flight to Heathrow?
What time do you recommend we should arrive at the airport for the flight?
