Traveling to the nec Birmingham on the 17th June but their appears to be engineering work somewhere on the Saturday can anyone confirm if this will go ahead . Getting a bus is not worth the hassle.
Chester 8 am out
Nec back about 5 pm
We could also go via lime street .
The attached route looks ok but its bx code meaning peak travel and the tickets are off peak so they would not be valid even though we can buy them ?

Most offpeak tickets have no weekend restrictions, and that includes BX. Your 2Tog is likewise valid.
However, it looks as though timetables have not yet been updated.
Trains appear to be running Birmingham-Wolverhampton via Bescot and Wolverhampton-Chester, also Birmingham-Stoke on XC.
I would check your split as I suspect via Shrewsbury will be the most comfortable route to avoid the XC bit..
