Leeds to Chester TPE and Connections

I have an advance Leeds to Chester, routed TPE and connections.

I would need to travel Leeds to Manchester on my booked train. But at Manchester could I travel to lime street and change there to get to Chester earlier? And could I break the journey at Rock Ferry?

Nope.

You can choose to go:

via Helsby, Runcorn East, Warrington, Newton-le-Willows

or

via Mouldsworth-mid-Cheshire line-Stockport.

A Manchester-Stanlow & Thornton ticket may be valid via Liverpool...
