Has Southern HR stopped answering emails? I’ve sent two in the last three weeks and have heard nothing. Applied in Dec 20 and am still waiting an assessment day. The updates have become fewer and fewer to non existent. I wonder if it’s even worth thinking I’ll ever get an assessment day. Their whole recruitment system seems totally unfathomable.
Unfortunately it’s a lot of pot luck…..ask any current employee that’s gone for driver!!
Keep your hopes up pal, and don't pay to much attention to news on the forums. Not all of it is accurate! I'm sure your time will come soon. You should be very proud. Just think back to when you first applied, probably wishing and hoping to be in the position you are in now. When you do get the call, things move very fast and I'm sure it'll be all worth it mate.

It's very true indeed. I, like many would come to these forum with hope of some news of an up coming assessment or course/job offer, depending on the stage I was at, only to be disheartened by a single comment or rumor talking about no up coming date for however long in the future. DONT LISTEN ppl!!!. Uses these forums sparingly.
I am in with a start date despite all the noise. its been a loooooong journey for me. But hey, every ones journey will be different. possibly coming down to location and other factors I guess.
hang on in there people and stay positive and help others. Good luck.

Hi Guys,
So a little update on my journey! It’s been a crazy few weeks but I wanted to share it on here to give people some hope who have been waiting a long time for a certain stage of the interview process or waiting in the talent pool.
So up until my MMI the process was pretty long, I originally applied back in November 2020 I believe and there’s been a lot of time between assessments and interviews.
That all changed recently lol! So I had my MMI last week and passed which I was over the moon about! I then got a call the same day offering me a course in exactly 4 weeks. I called my manager and my notice went in. I then had my medical a few days later and passed. I then received my contract and uniform order forms within a couple of days and that’s now all signed and done! It’s moved at a million miles an hour since my MMI and I’m of course over the moon!
I just wanted to share this positive experience as I know there’s a lot of negative also!
Good luck to everyone else whatever stage of the process you are at currently!

I’m yet to be asked for these and passed the medical last week. I definitely won’t be able to find the originals.. I did do a course a few months back though and they managed to confirm my GCSE grades online somewhere so hopefully this will be the same
