Northern Line stock at Northfields Depot

This morning I saw a Northern Line train at Northfields station on the Piccadilly, having just exited the depot. Could someone let me know what it was doing there, and, how did it actually get there?

The 1995/6 TS have been going to Northfields on an on-off basis for brake testing, utilising the South Ealing test track for this purpose. I believe it would've travelled via the King's Cross loop.

You can actually see the points from King's Cross eastbound Piccadilly platform (the bend to the right is the start of Northern Line connection.)

As mentioned, the trains are transferred via the Euston and King’s Cross loops for brake testing on the test track at South Ealing. This has been ongoing for some years now - here’s some pictures from 2016.
