The 1915 from Manchester is currently 11 late, so you may have caught up with him. Currently the 1915 looks like working its way between you and the 2059 arr at MKC.
Theres also a Glasgow service ahead of you which is running 10 late. Probably passed through Crewe just before you left. 4 virgins leaving MKC for Euston within 8mins of each other. Thats what i call a service!!!

Ive been thinking. If only there was a website which showed exactly where/ what all trains were doing on the network. We could follow it and see what was happening with these trains arriving into MKC!!
A bit like you have websites to show AIS signals from ships!
Now that would make this even more fun.

If you are in any doubt you will not make the connection at Watford head back to Crewe. If you miss the connection at Watford you cannot get to Inverness.

Gets you into Crewe at 2343. 11 minute connection at Crewe, if you want to risk it. Given your run of luck, I wouldn't!

Or 21:38 from MKC gets you to CRE at 22:46.

I am not too sure about this. The sleeper leaves Watford at 21:33. The train from MKC arrives in at 21:19. It has to be late in order to make the connection. If it is more than 10 mins late you are potentially in trouble. You have a 4 minute connection with no fallback move.

If you do not make it you are on the Lowland Sleeper and you will not be in Inverness at 08:30.

Thats a risk. Wouldnt chance it. Head straight back to Crewe. I know a good Italian if you want something to eat near the station!

Doesnt matter. 2059 has already left MKC. So no choice but to head back.
Delayed Manc train is still to arr.

If someone asks for a last min berth, they may get yours. Is it 1st class berth? If so, less likely. But possible.
Then again, they are all the same arent they? Just the top bunk put away on 1st class berths. So its possible they will give it away, but a couple of weeks back none of the highland sleeper portions were full whenever i travelled. And that was 4 times!

I cannot see it being a problem with the berth being sold.

I was on the Fort William a couple of weeks ago and there were only 12 passegers on it and we were 5 of them.

Nope, no one is sure. Scotrail just said the train is running to Inverness. But that could mean changing onto extra coaches at Edinburgh
If you are pushed into just 2 portions, then youd better hope no last min traveller turns up looking for a berth!!

2134 breaks down in middle of nowhere, and you are stranded for an hour.
2138 (direct service) overtakes down the slow, waves cheerio to you, and gets to Crewe in plenty of time!!!!
