Passing through town this afternoon; 15683 on 301
47024 on 30, still squealing like a banshee
47060 on Sunday Town Services, which looks to have had some sort of repair or is rusting, by its nearside rear lights and vent. Passed me on Newlands Lane, didn't get a good look but they were brown patches around the lights and the vent above them.

47023 was on Staff Shuttle. 47061, 47062 and 47616 on and off the annex this afternoon.

Indirectly relevant as it looks like 2 of the vehicles involved are the E reg ex Preston Bus/Stagecoach Olympians, quite sad really as it was a relatively new company, not needed in these tough times.

Credit to the fire service for rescuing the others and preventing it from being much worse. A real shame though, I hope Xela Bus can bounce back from this!

Found a picture of the buses after the fire in the daylight:

M321YOT was new to Southampton Citybus then transferred to First if anyone was wondering about the Dart

I think S798 KRM should get released It's on it's last legs.[/QUOte)

52628 Isn't on it's last legs actually Think before you speak eh? For starters you don't know any of the SCNW Fleet, No offence like but make a fleet list you will get to the fleet better then, sorry if i attacked you.

Open a new Microsoft Excel document and type all of the buses in NW fleet and read them all out to yourself 20 times and you'll remember them

Sorry if I caused offence but he's my mate so I have right to. :)

Well apparently Merseyside are expecting some 2003 Tridents from London soon. This has come from a high ranking source at Mersey but nothing else has been said about it so I'm sceptical.

16709 had the Hanover flip dot when it came from Newcastle. The other 3 all had Bright Tech's. No point replacing a working Hanover, unless part of a refurb programme on a batch.

That explains it, I thought it had a B tech when it arrived like the rest :)

Certainly stuff will be leaving, just a case of if it will stay in group.

In addition to the new vehicles, PVR is due to drop by about 80 due to contract losses.

Should be very interesting. I believe SC own a majority of the older vehicles but that the newer vehicles are on lease.

The ex Lothian only just visible on the right was E327MSG and was my school bus at Preston Bus for 2 years. Great bus to drive - a real shame.

On the point about London vehicles moving out to the regions, the latest London fleetcard shows Tridents going to Ensign dealers.

Could be for the region think any Depot would happily have them and did the 17012-17024 tridents when they arrived from London get converted at LL

Yes they were converted at LL.

If you look towards the very start of this thread, you should find a post from driver9000 about the introduction of the Tridents and how confused people got

They were due in Carlisle for repaint a few weeks ago (I think) I need to get myself down to the depot (Carlisle) but guess what? The footpath that goes round the depot is CLOSED.

Alhough you will already know about this, I did'nt see this in the post I forgot who posted it.

Ex Carlisle 52405 will remained taxed for Chorley Training.
42672 is "Spare Used" for 47721 and 47722.

Load of rubbish about the footpath around the depot being closed! Cannot be closed as it provides access to the allotments. I walk by the depot nearly every day and was there again this morning (about 200 yeards from my house) and its open as normal. They are re-doing the roads outside the depot but that is it.

Also, 42672 has been like that since the Solos arrived in 2010. 42672 generally stayed at Penrith all the time but with the changes could maybe stay at Carlisle this year?

As for 52405, have not seen anything of that since it left Carlisle depot ages ago.

Or it could be for us, P12 will probably reveal all...

Indeed it could be, P12 may just show it as at LL for conversion but no doubt all will become clear! Very interesting times ahead. I look forward to seeing how many (if any) more come up!

Possibly a modern version of the old Cumbrian Connexions?

47059 on 50
Possibly its 47005 on 51
As I post, cainebj tells me the fitters van has been out, they been looking at 47059. Still out at the moment on the allocation straight after being inspected.

After all that, 16184 has gone on 51 on 9:00 slot! (most likey needed to replace 34215 on Harrington/Seaton which was also looked at by the fitters and taken off service - info courtesy of cainebj)

Just read that apparently the Trident at LL is the first of about 9 that are been converted then sent to Merseyside. Not sure how true this is but fits in with them expecting London Tridents even if they are older then thought.

They should give us one to replace 17017  VOR for almost two months now.
