A surprise, perhaps to me only, is the return to service of 458534 for the first time since 03/11/21. I thought 458534 was off-lease, but clearly is not if the data feed to RTT is correct;

* all 458/5 are now 720,000 max miles for C4 from 660,000. 8534 had a C4 at the same time as 5 car conversion so was always going to drop earlier than the others.

The four coaches of 8506 that stayed behind are on 24 road. Gives an unusual view of an inner end that perhaps many have not seen.

Today is 01/03/23, so it is time for me to post an update of the list of 458 & 455 that I have not recorded working in passenger service for over a month. The dates below are the last date that I have noticed them appear on a passenger train on RTT. This date is not guaranteed to be 100% accurate.

8519 is back out after C6. Its on the pm 5R43/2R43/2S53/2S62/2S67/2S76/5Y42 diagram.
8530 should be back into traffic early next week.

5855 went from Wimbledon on 18th/19th May direct to Newport. I don’t think it lasted too long. The other I don’t know as they went from Long Marston.

I still have 5704 and 5726 at Long Marston. Is there any information on their movement dates from there to Newport (if they have moved)?

Service. They’ve come back from Kilmarnock. They just need to find their respective units, have an RTS exam and a test run.

5850 and 5905 are formed up again. 5905 should return first, then a break to get 5915 back, then 5850. 5850 having the honour of being the most altruistic and benevolent with its parts while laid up.

They went in August last year when Long Marston was cleared of all 455s and 456s.
U.5721 went down to Bournemouth Depot on 5B39, I take it from what you've said, that stayed at Bournemouth ?
