Evening before a strike day, Cambridge to Ipswich

Hi, Does anyone know or can recall, the evening before a strike day what time the last Cambridge via Bury St Edmunds to Ipswich service operates? Normal service departs Cambridge at XX:47 past each hour up to the 22:47 departure arrives Ipswich 00:02

The day before it’s a normal service as strikes don’t usually start for shifts beginning after 00:01. It’s the day after that they start later.

That route is entirely crewed from Ipswich. Your 22:47 will be fine.

If this is reference to a future strike day, there is other industrial action on which may affect services the day before; especially for 31 March into 1 April.

Details won’t be known until much closer to the day, unfortunately.

Hi, I hoped you would be along with some local advice, thank you, not sure if I'll need the 21:47 or 22:47 from Cambridge. As a back up plan I was thinking about getting a National Express coach ticket on the evening 075 service from London back to Bury St Edmunds then a taxi home, but the NX service is being cancelled from the 2nd March. Thanks again.

Thanks for taking the time to answer and for the information. I'm travelling on the 17th March, I think the 16th and 18th are strikes days.

All I can advise for now is “Check Before You Travel“, and train times will be confirmed about a week beforehand.
