Maybe they overstocked?
Feb to May menus are available on the LNER website. Looks fairly similar to the previous one to me.I asked them. It changes "in a couple of weeks"![]()
Yes, does look exactly the same. Dish still doesn't include a meat main unless you're happy with just a roll. Really doesn't cut it for an evening meal from KX.Feb to May menus are available on the LNER website. Looks fairly similar to the previous one to me.
Do they still do the standard trolley? Not First Class but on the last two LNER services I havent seen a trolley or mention of the at seat service.
Thats what I was wondering. First trip was Inverness to Edinburgh secondly Edinburgh to York.Do they still do the standard trolley?
I don't think there's been any options I'd class as a satisfying meal for some years (though there's been some tasty options). I'd note I rarely travel at suitable times for breakfast.Yes, does look exactly the same. Dish still doesn't include a meat main unless you're happy with just a roll. I seem to recall the trolley being discontinued when the Azumas started, but don't know about the class 91 sets.Thats what I was wondering. First trip was Inverness to Edinburgh secondly Edinburgh to York.
That's a shame. Budvar was definitely one of the things they were getting right, and Skinny Lager sounds absolutely terribleI've noticed Budvar has been replaced by whatever 'Skinny Lager' is. I'm envisioning something that tastes of water and not much else!
At least there is still Rudgate 'Hop on Board'.I've noticed Budvar has been replaced by whatever 'Skinny Lager' is.
Carlsberg according to the website.Skinny lager sounds awful like fairly generic lager tasting substance that pertains to contain alcohol that you might normally find in a supermarket own label can but repackaged and sold to LNER as a budget conscious alternative. I wonder if they're still offering a selection of proper branded lager in the food bar? Anyone fancy trying this commodity in the coming weeks as I have no booked journeys and no intention of booking any
I don't think they do the trolley at all anymore. But the at seat service is advertised on seat backs and on the wall next to tables so I guess a PA would be nice but it isn't exactly hidden away. I used it the other week to get a tea delivered to my seat in standard class! Not First Class but on the last two LNER services I havent seen a trolley or mention of the at seat service.
I've used the at seat service a few times in standard. I do find its unavailable quite regularly though (for whatever reason).I don't think they do the trolley at all anymore. Interesting! I've had the opposite experience!I've used the at seat service a few times in standard. I do find its unavailable quite regularly though (for whatever reason).
In which case i'll take that as a positive and hope for better availability in the futureInteresting! I've had the opposite experience!
It is surprising how much experiences can differ, making sharing experiences (both positive and negative) on the forum very useful. What tickets are eligible for complimentary refreshments in First Class?
To be eligible for a complimentary meal, you must be travelling with a valid First Class ticket for 70 minutes or more. On some occasions those travelling for less may be offered complimentary drinks and light snacks depending on availability.
OK thanks!
In reality it can vary.
