The Campaign for Better Transport was founded on this day in 1973 as Transport 2000: it changed its name in 2007. They don’t always get it right, but their hearts are in the right place.

Agreed, their heart is in the right place.

Does anyone know which of their aspirations have actually happened in the last 50 years?

I am not trying to be sarcastic, just intrigued to know about their main success stories?

A potential quick win for them would be to link up with the forum so that we can work closely with them on the matter of protecting customers rights over fares. If anyone at the organisation is interested in this, please get in touch!

And get them to support the reopening of the Great Central and Woodhead, and reintroducing the Class 442s…
