Possibly the longest walk I've seen between two "consecutive" bus stops, we walk the 0.3 mile (6 min) to Clatterbridge Hospital Stop A, where we await Arriva North West service 487 at 1340. This takes us to Neston (Railway Station) at 1353 on Tuesday.

This southbound bus stop is on Ladies Walk, but on Google Maps is only shown via road markings on satellite view, there is no blue marker...

Is that Brabant Road stop in Otterspool?
No, Aigburth, on Aigburth Road a little east of St Anne’s Chuch.

I can see Otterspool Promenade, but that’s almost a mile away.

Seems to be one of those situations once again where your source has specified a location that isn’t geographically accurate.

I use bustimes.org for the majority of my bus postings and have had no problems in the past.

The problem in past times was with rail-based postings and under advice, I changed over to RTT and have had no problem since then.

Bustimes.org is great for listing every service and time from said stops, but sometimes it'll class a stop as being in different location (such as Brabant Road).

I always use bustimes...
I think it uses the official local authority-specified locations, rather than locally known...

Looking at the timings of the 82A, the stop in question is on bustimes (and therefore I believe the government-led Naptan database) as Otterspool, Brabant Rd.

What we’re trying to achieve is a shared understanding of where each move takes us.

BusTimes.org, as noted above, describes the stop as it is officially registered.

In this world of hypothetical game play, I guess we need to apply some common sense and try not to stress out about these things too much. If there’s a little bit of confusion, we can suss it out. :)

My thoughts exactly. We're all very good at specifying exact locations so there was no real reason for Brabant Road to be queried, as it was quite self-explanatory where it was.

Plodding along, we exit the station and board the 1006 Arriva North West service 44 to Southport Hospital (which is in Southport, believe it or not!), arriving there at 1034 on Wednesday morning.

We walk (8 min / 0.4 mile) to the stop on Scarisbrick New Rd imaginitively called "opposite no. 226". There, at 1055, we board Arriva North West service 385, alighting at Wigan North Western railway station (stop D) at 1234 on Wednesday.

I think this is the Three Arches, in which case we walk 6 minutes / 0.3 miles to the Primary School stop on Livesey Branch Rd, where we await Stagecoach Merseyside & South Lance service 2 at 2132. We alight at Chorley, Railway Station at 2201 on Wednesday.
