I’m in the talent pool!!!
Me too—over the moon! Congratulations to you and everyone who has got into the pool so far. And to everyone who hasn’t had the luck—I failed a DMI a year ago but I went through the process again, did DMI with same depot/interviewers, and have now got in.

I also got the excellent news that I passed the DMI and that I'm in the talent pool (Shrewsbury)! Really excited, guess I'm now in the same boat as you guys waiting for a training spot.

Congratulations! Which depot are you?

Congrats, well done also after your set back. From failing at the mmi and being totally defeated with the process its good to see that it can be done

Well done guys. You must be chuffed to bits. I have been offered dates for my DMI late January so just waiting to hear back if I have a place. I have applied for crewe depot.

Any advice or practice materials would be greatly appreciated. I haven't made it this far before so I'm looking for any help.

Once again well done you have smashed it

Would anybody have any insight into how long people are waiting between passing DMI and the medical? Looking back on this thread history has helped a little but it’s about 18 month old info sadly!

Does the station you’re going for affect it at all?

My wait was around a week I believe, maybe a few days longer. This was only a month or so ago too.

I’m guessing it depends on depot, number of jobs available, number of interviews etc

When a course becomes available you’ll be called for medical. Try not to listen to gossip Etc on here about courses etc as from experience rarely ever right. The wait for a course can become demoralising but just trust the process and it’ll come eventually.

Wow, that’s quick! So a week between a yes on the DMI and being given a date for medical?

Definitely looks like it depends on the depot, I agree

Thanks, trying not to pay attention and just wait for it to come. They said in interview some wait 4 months to start the course (Shrewsbury). So hopefully that’s a good guesstimate.

I want the medical soon but not too soon…I want to get some weight off first!
