Hi guys. Just wanted to see if any London Overground drivers on here. If any based in Chingford, East London.

Just wanted to ask what it's like there. The shift patterns and pay etc. Is it a good place to work and the T's & C's, what they are like?

Thanks in advance.

Do you mean London Overground? I presume you've applied via the DB portal as it's an Arriva company but the TOC will be Overground.

I don't think you can join Chingford depot as an external candidate, even if you're qualified. Unless there's something I'm unaware of. The rule is that you join in for Willesden or New Cross and after a year you can put yourself forward for a move to Chingford and await your place on a wait list.

Chingford is different to the rest of ARL, their Sundays are outside and not compulsory.

There was a recent advert for qualifieds at Chingford because not many people are on the list from either the NLL or ELL to go there.

I applied for chingford as the vacancy stated chingford depot. They also confirmed that it was for there in the email.
Still waiting to hear back as they stated they are still going through the short listing stage.

That's very interesting, thanks for enlightening me, I have totally missed that.

Good luck to you then! And I hope someone with better insight will get back to you with more details.
