EDIT --
Looks like 380s are starting to be allocated on RTT tomorrow (which could mean they're coming back?)

RTT previously showed 320s to Ayr and 385 to Newton tomorrow before being changed to 380s.

It’s 318s and 320s on the Neilston line this morning.

Plenty of 380’s out and about today! All seemed fine when I popped through central earlier.

That was the plan as they were released from Shields depot one by one once they valves that caused the issue on Monday had been replaced alongside other remedial work to the air systems. Should be a normal service tomorrow according to internal coms I've seen over the weekend.

I don't think 'stood down' is quite the right phrase; they've been in warm store.
If someone could tell me more about that here:
It would be much appreciated. I wasn't aware of that.

I did notice a 380 parked halfway down Platform 6 for some strange reason though.
I noticed that today too. No lights on or anything but it had moved when I got back at 3ish.

Anyone understand why? Was there an attempt to move it but they stopped part way down the platform?

RTT is showing 1K43, the 1629 Glasgow Central to Ayr as two 320s. A mistake surely?

Yup likely a mistake (or more specifically, those 320s have been put on 380 diagrams that ultimately join up to form this Ayr service, 1K43 will probably be swapped for 380s closer to the time)

there is also another glitch were 2P15 1549 from Newton is showing as terminating at Ayr when it's not.

Will be a mistake. Most 380s are now back in service this morning. Some cancellations first thing this morning due to still bringing sets from Shields depot back into Central. Afternoon services should be as normal.

Thank you both, a 320 seemed unlikely given no DOO mirrors to Ayr anymore etc, but you can never be completely certain of anything!

In a further twist, 1K43is now showing as an unworkable 318+380 combo!

There seems to still be issues with 380s because a 385 ran the 0847 from Newton today
Fleet engineers will still be working their way through the units to replace the faulty component that has been the cause of the issue. Due to the NR strikes last week, the first day they could move the majority of the 380s was Sunday and there is only so much space in the 380 shed at Shields at a time.

Are they being fixed back to how they were or has something been done to ensure that this problem does not reoccur.

Only 385s are restricted, banned in fact, but I don’t believe it’s anything to do with the speed.

Never any restrictions on 334s either. This is just a story that only exists on these forums.
Wasn't there issues with signal sighting between Crosshill and Mount Florida in the 385s? They only lasted a few weeks on Newton/Neilston/Circle services when they arrived before being taken off.
