I presume it does regarding the pass mark but I don't know of any other toc/foc which uses CBI. Most if not all the rest use MMIDoes anyone know if the CBI has a national/enhanced pass mark? So you could potentially not fail it but not reach the required benchmark for an enhanced pass?
Surprising, but still a welcome one for sure. Out of interest how do you feel your CBI went at the time? As of today I was doing some practice sessions with a friend and yet I still dread it.Just received my successful email for stage 2 in Watford which I attended yesterday. Wasn't expecting to hear back untill at least next week!!! Absolutely over the moon!!
At the time I thought it went quite well but then as I drove home and started thinking about some of my answers I felt like there were a lot of things I could have added or explained better.Surprising, but still a welcome one for sure. Naturally I would expect us to start thinking those sorts of things after an interview, but thankfully it was of no issue for you. Good luck at the DMI when you get one!At the time I thought it went quite well but then as I drove home and started thinking about some of my answers I felt like there were a lot of things I could have added or explained better.
Thanks! Good luck with your stage 2 assessments! I know it's easier said than done, but try not to worry about it too much.Naturally I would expect us to start thinking those sorts of things after an interview, but thankfully it was of no issue for you. Good luck at the DMI when you get one!

Are there any current Euston drivers on here who could share the area they live in? I’m looking for some clarity on the 1 hour from depot rule, as to whether traffic is factored in.
I currently live exactly an hours drive away on a clear run, however, we all know a clear run in London is really only achievable in the middle of the night.
That being said, I could move to a house 5 miles from Euston but it could still potentially take over an hour with traffic!
Does anyone know if Avanti have specific guidance on where is acceptable for Euston?
Thank you!
Just had the successful email for my CBI. Really chuffed. Good luck to anyone waiting their results or about to do day 2.Did my day 2 at Watford today. Was quite difficult I thought. However, I passed the computer tests and completed the CBI. Hopefully hear back before Xmas. Good luck to anyone going for day 2.
Congratulations. What was CBI likeSat the Stage 2 and CBI yesterday, just had my email informing me I have passed and awaiting contact from Avanti for the DMI!
Thank you. It was 5 questions, and I found it the most reasonable part of the day, but I do work in a profession where we have a Competency Based Framework for all our professional development, so kind of used to these type of questions.Congratulations. What was CBI like
Congratulations! I haven't heard anything from Avanti yet. I was hoping how quickly this was all pushed through that would continue, seems not. I do check every day though.Thank you. Has anyone received any contact from Avanti as of yet? I'm guessing realistically this will be in the New Year.
Sorry to hear that, good luck for when you repeat it or have mmi if you go for another company.Unfortunately it’s the end of the road on this occasion for meI didn’t meet the required score for the CBI.. I’m a bit lost as I thought it went quite well and also got a lot of the typical phrases in they look for. Good luck to the rest of you with your tests & interviews and I wish you all the best in the future!

What kind of questions, I have mine soon. I work on railway and have to stick to rules and regs so I hope that's gonna help. And tips or advice would be most appreciatedThank you. Rules and Reg definetly come up, so you'll be fine there. If you search this forum you'll be able to work out the questions. It was all quite relaxed so I wouldn't worry too much about it. Especially if you already work in the industry. Good luckWhat kind of questions, I have mine soon. I work on railway and have to stick to rules and regs so I hope that's gonna help. I'd guess they'll wait till all the stage 2s are done so they have a full and final list for the interview. And that will be 13th January at the earliest as that's when I'm going.Thank you. I believe the last batch for stage 2 is 20th January as I know someone who has been booked for that date.I'd guess they'll wait till all the stage 2s are done so they have a full and final list for the interview. And that will be 13th January at the earliest as that's when I'm going.
There were 4 on mine, meant to be 5 but one didn't turn up. 1 x only had to do the CBI so went straight into it. 3 of us sat the computer tests. 1 x left after the tests. So 3 out of 4 sat the CBI. Hope that makes sense.I imagine a great deal of candidates will be dropped out of this part of the assessment process because of tests such as the grey square test or the ATAVT concentration test. The CBI may likely be another stage where people fail, and as said previously this is where I expect myself to be the most likely stage to fail. Out of interest for everyone who made it to the CBI, how many people turned up on your day and how many made it through the computer stages? A rough number is acceptable since I don't expect many of you actively counted.

There were six of us there and 5 got through to the CBI there were also two others that were there to just do the CBII imagine a great deal of candidates will be dropped out of this part of the assessment process because of tests such as the grey square test or the ATAVT concentration test. I'm not really losing sleep over it and it's not a constant fear, but at the back of my mind I believe that it is the stage where I'm most likely to fail and I think that'd be a shame seeing how I already got this far on the first go despite not expecting to make it through the initial application which is why I'm especially nervous about it. At the very least though I can take some solace in knowing that my passes in the previous stages won't be for nothing since those results will be on the OPC's database. Even if I have to wait another six months for Avanti assuming no other operator has vacancies I'm already at an advantage. It sounds to me like you're worrying yourself.
Honestly it’s fine. I’ve found the assessment days to be relaxed as the assessors we’ve had really put you at ease. I found the computer tests rather fun, the joysticks were pretty much like playing a game and the square test was rather thrilling in a way. That’s just my take.I'm not really losing sleep over it and it's not a constant fear, but at the back of my mind I believe that it is the stage where I'm most likely to fail and I think that'd be a shame seeing how I already got this far on the first go despite not expecting to make it through the initial application which is why I'm especially nervous about it. It's my first time too and it's normal to be nervous about it but if you try your best you'll fly through it.I'm not really losing sleep over it and it's not a constant fear, but at the back of my mind I believe that it is the stage where I'm most likely to fail and I think that'd be a shame seeing how I already got this far on the first go despite not expecting to make it through the initial application which is why I'm especially nervous about it.
