I have literally never experienced this.
Likewise!
I have literally never experienced this.
Perhaps I didn't look trainspotty enough and he decided to educate me on the ins and outs of all the bus routes he'd got on his phone.I have literally never experienced this.
the one I hate is "..sorry for the delay, your call is important to us, please continue to hold.."Call centre music is marginally less irritating than having to listen to a patronising recorded message umpteen times saying something along the lines of
"..did you know you can find the answer to most of your questions on our website or mobile app?.."
If I could find the answer to my question on your website or mobile app I wouldn't be ringing you in the first place, you stupid <insert expletive of choice>![]()
On the contrary, I find this continuing failure of the AdSense algorithms to understand this aspect of human behaviour somewhat reassuring! Can we ban Google Ads from showing you loads of adverts for something you have already bought.
Since I bought an electric tootbrush today, I have been bombarded with adverts for ....electric toothbrushes.
Most annoying.![]()
And the closely related one, "we are experiencing an unusually high volume of calls" - which might be okay, except that you get it whether you ring a few minutes after the lines open, mid-morning, lunchtime, mid-afternoon, or just before the lines close. All of which means that it's not at all "unusual", and the reality is that the place is under resourced.the one I hate is "..sorry for the delay, your call is important to us, please continue to hold.."
If my call was that important to you, you'd get enough staff to actually answer it!!
December 1 and Morrison’s have already got the Christmas songs playing and, of course, they are the most antiseptic ones. Give it a week or so and I will be yearning for the return of Hi Ho Silver Lining, a song I once liked, on loop. At least they did play Twist and Shout at one point: they are probably trying to conjure up images of snowy Christmases in the distant past.
Which version of Twist and Shout was it, being as quite a few people have had a go at it.
I volunteer in a charity shop, If I'm working on the shop floor, I flatly refuse to play Christmas Carols!!December 1 and Morrison’s have already got the Christmas songs playing and, of course, they are the most antiseptic ones. Christmas songs have begun in Asda too, going to be a long month!
EDIT: Don't start me on that frustratingly stupid and tacky Elf stuff everywhere in Asda![]()
There is no better version than the original by the Isley Brothers, which of course was a follow-up to Shout, another one which less talented performers made attempts to sing.Which version of Twist and Shout was it, being as quite a few people have had a go at it.
Notable versions are The Beatles, Salt 'n' Papa, and Chaka Demus & Pliers (who reached number 1 in Jan 1994).

Not as bad as Kevin the Carrot every time i go into Aldi.
Ditto BMWCar manufacturers who don't build cars with indicators, for example I've yet to see an Audi that has this capability...![]()
They used to be back in the day. Certainly the corner shop where I had a paper round in my early teens had them in stock all year.* Except Creme Eggs which should be on sale all year because they are nice.
Ditto BMW

Mine does. I am on a mission to improve reputation in the signalling department
The Asda christmas ads are particularly annoying this year. They've been as busy as elves this Christmas preparing their creamy baked camembert wreath, perfect for tearing, sharing, dipping and dunking, don't you know!Christmas songs have begun in Asda too, going to be a long month!

Pain in the arse hearing these 9 hours a day, I thought they would at least hold off for a bit. Most of the christmas songs are covers of the original songs and are 100% of the time worse than the originalDecember 1 and Morrison’s have already got the Christmas songs playing and, of course, they are the most antiseptic ones. My favourite Christmas no1 for the past few years has been ‘Killing in the name’ by Rage Against The Machine.Pain in the arse hearing these 9 hours a day, I thought they would at least hold off for a bit.
