For most of this week many EMR trains between Liverpool and Norwich are NOT showing in online systems even though the trains should be running. I informed EMR yesterday and they say it is an "administrative error". Unfortunately it has still not been rectified.
So trains will run but you can't buy tickets for them. And they wonder why there is a financial crisis on the railway.

Just checked for my 0951 tomorrow LIV-NRW and although it is listed on the EMR site it shows "not available" where the ticket price should be. Does that mean it's cancelled?

Sorry, ignore that, it's 1st Class that isn't available.

"Not available" normally denotes that the train is fully reserved for those services with mandatory reservations, or that the timetable has not been confirmed (like Avanti).

I would probably just keep checking EMRs journey check system: https://www.eastmidlandsrailway.co.uk/timetables-updates/service-disruptions#

Thought the line was still closed near Ketton which would mean these services are split

As a regular traveller to Spondon I know that getting EMR to correct things is virtually impossible. One trip of the replacement bus for Spondon has been marked as passing rather than calling at Spondon for 5 months of this timetable despite me reporting it through all sorts of channels. Only when I bumped into a planner on the train was it fixed. The other journey is still wrong and I suspect will remain so for the rest of this timetable period.

I strongly suspect your correction won't have been passed on or will have been ignored.

Sadly, this is a huge issue in some operators. Having wrong information on journey planners and when you point this out to them, they refuse to change and correct it. Instead continuing to mislead passengers. There is seemingly no consequences to the actions as it happens constantly. I know a number of ground staff have started telling passengers to put in formal complains for it and encouraging delay repay for these situations since no one listens to staff so the idea is get management to listen by hurting the finances and more complaints.

There’s no charging points on the 0951 from Lime Street, not very good for a 5.5 hour journey. Glad I charged up my power pack.

An old dear just asked me if she has to sit in any particular place “just to go to Norwich”, as if it’s the next stop. Hope she’s got sandwiches!

She'll need to be in the FRONT 2-units AFTER the reversal at Sheffield, and that's normally the one that goes forward to Norwich.

So, if she's in the front 2-cars NOW from Liverpool, she'll be at the back AFTER the reversal....

No we’re both in the (still) rear two coaches. The TM has already made two announcements about this.

Now just left Nottingham a bit late at 12:46 (forum will probably attach this post to my earlier one) and I must say the train crew throughout have been wonderful. Very informative, very upbeat and genuinely nice guys. Bit of a blunder when they told us the wrong two coaches for continuing to Norwich but it was nice to have a dash along the platform after three hours sat still!

Flood Passenger Focus with complaints ? I've found EMR can be poor at correcting mistakes too.

By unadvertised rail replacement bus for last 18 months. Trains back in December!

Really?! It seems utterly bizarre. There’s a lot of building work around there at the moment, is that anything to do with it?

The level crossing appears to have been semi-permanently barriered, too.

Only just noticed today the 1645 Bus to Stoke is shown as non-stop as well so no surprise when I see it, it only has 2 people on it. The PDF timetable shows it stopping at all stops.

Don't they still put a trolley on from Stockport?

There are definitely trolleys on some services, last time I went on it (a couple of months ago) a trolley boarded at Nottingham heading towards Liverpool. I got off at Manchester Piccadilly but didn't notice how far the trolley went.
I did overhear it's attendant saying it was his last Liverpool as that duty was being transferred to Sheffield.

EMR data is woefully inaccurate at best. This has gone on for years.
On the RobinHood line when they first removed Whitwell from every other train and put on a bus replacement they took several weeks to actually bother to put the buses in the timetable. The result of this was people were unable to book tickets to vast numbers of destinations in the north as the poor connection times meant multiple waits of over an hour which journey planners rejected.
As an example for several weeks you simply could not book a ticket online or at a machine to York, Newcastle, Edinburgh and similar.

Recently I’ve been unable to book advances between places like Mansfield and London as the Mansfield Nottingham services haven’t existed until a day or 2 before, but more importantly it’s meant I can’t book a journey to book seats on the Nottingham St Pancras leg.

It’s clear they don’t want passengers as they’re a hindrance to the operation of the railway.

Thankfully the good staff make up for many of the appalling ways.
