Will the Class 376s get the Southeastern dark blue livery?

With the upcoming refurbishment of the class 376, I was wondering how likely it'll be that they'll be given the livery that the Class 375s, 377s, 395s, and 707s currently have. It would make a lot of sense since it would bring southeastern closer to having one uniform livery across all of their rolling stock.

They’re of an age where it’ll likely be needed anyway to prevent corrosion etc. EMR 360s in a similar boat, hence outside refresh but insides not touched!

They’re due a repaint, I can’t think of much else that hasn’t been repainted in that time frame, even if it’s just a base coat for the old livery to be reapplied by vinyl

With the upcoming GBR thing they should get a standard livery that would eventually appear all over the country. I vote for Blue/Grey!!!

Any livery where the main colour is a light colour is a terrible livery, like the old Greater Anglia livery on the ex BR stock. With SE, the livery on the networkers is terrible compared to the old NSE livery which suited the trains better.

With the 376s, the old Connex livery has basically been a tired livery for many a year, as a white livery shows too much dirt, TOCs nationwide need to have dark coloured bodywork to make them look cleaner for longer and avoid the use of too much white, especially on the bodywork. Oddly the 357s on c2c have never looked as drab as the 376s of SE so it's likely they go through the wash alot more frequently so the bodies remain in a cleaner state however if the NSE livery was brought back if GBR ever got revived it would look good on the 376s but at least the SE dark blue livery would make them look better. Just look at LOs original livery on the 378s where again the white never looks clean

Hopefully, I have always liked Southeastern's blue livery, looks really smart and well done. Although, saying that, I can't picture a 376 in the Southeastern livery but I think they'd be strange not to paint it into that as they are part of Southeastern's retention fleet ie. not getting replaced either with the 2nd hand stock (which may prove unsuccessful to find 500 vehicles) or the new fleet they have set out a tender for.

No it's outdated and is a long lasting remnant of Southeastern Trains (owned by DfT) after Connex. ie. It isn't the actual southeastern brand at all.

Actually it is just the Connex livery unchanged, although they were introduced after Connex ceased I believe.

Connex ceased in 2003 and 376s entered service in 2004, sure it may have been painted with Connex but it wouldn’t be under service. If you can find any online would you mind attaching them to the thread?

The main other option I thought could be considered in the existing stock one was 350s. I'm not aware of any other EMUs going off lease that could meet the life expectancy requirement 1668446895 There also 348 vehicles of the 350s by my count Alternatively, there's the 379s, but there's not...

I think the only thing they've done recently was the center cars from the WMR 170/6s, done only a few years ago

I think Southeastern blue will look smart on the 376s, like it does on everything else that carries it. The interior is of course the biggest issue with the 376s at present, it really is showing its age.

Why not bring it bang up date nineties and go for Swallow

The pedant in me would never be able to get my head around Swallow on a 376!

I think the only thing they've done recently was the center cars from the WMR 170/6s, done only a few years ago

I think the HST fleet has been done in the last few years too, the Mark 3s with the sliding door conversions and the powercars during overhauls. It's just the Voyagers that haven't been touched, but the same also goes for the Avanti fleet apart from 221101 so that may be a ROSCO decision.
