Which depot are you in the pool for? There’s very limited coastal next year due to the high number of trainees in the lst 2 years.

- Is the first 6 months Monday - Friday? What sort of hours are they?

- Once released to a Driver Instructor, do you follow their rota? Or is that still Monday - Friday?

- Is it weekly or monthly pay?

Its 4 weekly pay , once with an instructor you'll be following their rota on whatever shift colour they are on, generally most people once passed out stay on that shift but that's something to worry about down the line. Normally the rules will be Monday - Friday as well as the traction give or take.

I really didn’t know that at all, thanks, I’m not agency so I would just have to make a choice

Why don't you liaise with HR/Recruitment to have a definite answer suited to your situation before making an informed choice? That is what I would do.

I originally applied way back in May 2020 and still waiting for an assessment day. Last update email was September 2021 and nothing since. I’ve now given up any hope of it.

I have my MMI coming up next for GTR (final stage!!)

I’ve managed to find pretty much all the information I need in terms of prep for the MMI thanks to the forum and some really helpful people on here!

One thing I have seen a few different opinions on is whether or not to change your answers once you have started. So I know you can change your answer from the short sentence you provided if you wish (this would be changed before you start answering the question in the MMI). I provided my short answers back when I did my assessments in September so there will be a few answers I will change now that I am further along and have a little more knowledge on what I want to include in the answers.

My question is if the interviewer tells you mid explanation to change your answer or they don’t feel your answer is suitable, do you change it or stick with it? I’ve seen a few people say it’s not a trick and to change it, then others say it’s part of the test and you should be confident in your initial answer.

I hope that all makes sense! Appreciate any advice.

I would think that if they are asking then they want a different answer and I would change it. I never got asked to change any but I had 2 or 3 different answers prepped in my head ready incase. I did change 1 or 2 on the day myself though like yourself

It’s the Written Communication Test.

It’s the one when you’re shown a picture(s), a bit like a comic and you have to write a report on it.

I believe, only GTR conduct this test…

That does ring a bell, I can’t remember it very well though. It definitely would have been done by this stage as all I’ve got left is the situational judgement & the MMI. Then it would be waiting for a course and the medical. Hopefully someone else see’s this and can remember exactly when that test was conducted. I’ve been so focussed on the DMI and MMI prep that the assessment seems forever ago now!

That would make sense as I really don’t remember it, I feel like something like that might of been in the prep work I was sent out prior to the GTR assessment though because I remember it vaguely, just not on the actual assessment day.
