Hi there, I've recently done the paper tests in Chester, and have my stage 2 set for Cardiff in the next week... Have you had your date for Cardiff yet?

Hi, I've got my computer tests coming up... Going to head down to Cardiff the night before to play it safe and take the hit on a hotel. Have you got any helpful info on Stage2?...
There’s not a great deal you can do to prepare I don’t think. Just follow the examples and make sure you know what to do. The vigilance test (grey flashing box that occasionally turns black) was hard work getting through for 30 minutes. Maybe try some of the traffic photo tests. A photo of something on the road flashes up and you have to tick a box for each thing that’s there. Pedestrian, vehicle, pushbike or motorcycle, traffic light and road signage. The photo flashes up for about 0.5-1 seconds.

The hand eye coordination test is simple enough. Similar to two analogue sticks on a control pad but one one goes up and down and the other only goes left and right.

When did you get the email? And did you get offered dates for the computer assessments within the email saying youd passed?
I got an email this morning saying Id passed paper assessments and that theyd be in touch in the next few weeks for the computer assessments dates, no dates offered in the initial email.

Got the email this morning just offering computer assessment dates. I received my email confirming I passed the paper assessment last Wednesday.

This is great news as I live in Taffs Well!

They said an email would follow with computer assessment and MMI dates.

Applied for Cardiff

You won’t necessarily be in Taffs Well. If there’s loads of drivers who want to transfer to Taffs Well who already work here then you will be way down the list (if you get all the way through) as it goes on seniority and rightly so. You will be Cardiff or Taffs Well so don’t expect to go straight to TW. I’m not saying you wouldn’t end up there but don’t want you getting ahead of yourself with that.

Thanks for that. It’s good to manage my expectations and understand the context as to why.

Hi All,
I have my computer tests and hopefully the MMI tomorrow. Correct me if I am wrong, Will I get my MMI answer sheet back before the interview? I'm pretty sure the recruiter said we would get them back beforehand to take into the MMI after I completed the paper tests.

TYIA!

Previous posters have stated they get their sheet back to look over before the MMI

I have my stage two next week and fingers crossed MMI. I was lucky I was reading my emails when the invite came through so replied instantly.
I can remember all 6 of my scenarios but only 5 of the questions. Which is really winding me up now lol.

Yes you will, you will take a break after the computer tests and SJT and will be given your answers for about 20-30 minutes prior to finding out if you will do the MMI itself

Well done so far, don't worry though as they give you your sheet back for you to look over

I'm still hoping that I get shortlisted.
Have you not heard back from the first stage of the app, the initial sift? Or have you sat any assessments?

Did my computer tests in Cardiff this morning, only just failed on the WAVF test. Passed the AVAVT and 2 Hand Co-ordination test with flying colours according to the assessor. Pretty annoying but I guess it wasn't meant to be! :(

Ahh that's a shame. Don't be disheartened though, apply again in 6 months time. You'll know what to expect next time too

No offence intended, but I think you failed on the easiest test. PM me, and I’ll send you the software. Keep your chin up, and you’ll fly it next time. I also failed 1st time around, and passed on my 2nd attempt, so don’t beat yourself up over it.

Hi. Are you able to share the software with myself? I’d appreciate it .

I too sat my tests last Monday, I have also heard back with a pass and offered dates for the next stage in Cardiff. I remember the lady conducting the tests explaining that only those going for Holyhead will be given dates in November, with others potentially in the new year

Yeah I’ve had dates confirmed for the computer tests, and know of one other who has to9
Are you both going for Holyhead, or Chester and just been lucky that youve been given dates?
I remember the assessor saying we wouldnt be sitting comp tests till end of Dec/start of Jan too so I was expecting it then.
