Most people here aren't Liverpool, and by the looks of things, they are organising replies by depot. Based on posts made here, I concluded that Manchester were the first to receive their replies followed by Euston and then Liverpool, so I wouldn't worry just yet. My deadline was the 1st and I submitted on the 27th. We could be waiting a bit before we get our replies, but I wouldn't expect more than 6-7 days to notify whether we've been successful or not. What has to kept in mind here is that the assessment centres have limited space, so as well as marking two tests they have to give us a proper date which can't happen without us being booked in there.I still havent heard back, submitted on 1st. Liverpool depot. Are you all Liverpool? Not heard of any Lpool applicants hearing back yet, maybe because theyre organising replies by depot.
Im manchester and haven’t heard back yet. Wondering if the system has forgotten about me lolMost people here aren't Liverpool, and by the looks of things, they are organising replies by depot. Euston here and not heard a thing, my deadline was the 30th. Agonising every time I see gmail pop up. Nothing I can do but be patient at the end of day! Most people here aren't Liverpool, and by the looks of things, they are organising replies by depot. At the very least we know that we'll hear back sooner or later, but remember, if successful they'll book you in for an assessment centre, and with up to 2,000 possible applicants for each depot it was never going to be a quick process.Euston here and not heard a thing, my deadline was the 30th. I got notified this morning too a only have to do tea-occCould the notifications of if you’re going to be successful depend on wether you’ve previously Sat your paper tests previous? I.e those that have passed but never sat the paper tests before go first and all together then those that only have to sit one or maybe two of the exercises get notified later as they need to determine which tests you may have to re-sit. I got notified this morning and have been informed I only need to re-sit the group bourdon
Anybody been able to practice the assessments with anything else other than what they’ve sent in the email?
Thanks mateThere are some YouTube videos about the assessments too.
Have a look at traindriverinfo.co.uk and have a look at how2becomeltd that's where I got some practice stuff from, also if you Google images of bourdon dot you can print them off and practice with them tooAnybody been able to practice the assessments with anything else other than what they’ve sent in the email?
Traindriverinfo is great for the computer practice, very close to the real thing!Have a look at traindriverinfo.co.uk and have a look at how2becomeltd that's where I got some practice stuff from, also if you Google images of bourdon dot you can print them off and practice with them too
Yeah I found the tea-occ one very accurate to the same as the testsTraindriverinfo is great for the computer practice, very close to the real thing!
although very true its clear that with the software and extra practice your more likely to pass.I've seen traineetraindriverinfo, and to be quite honest, while it has been somewhat useful for me, I do not think it's worth paying for any practice material. Maybe I'm alone on that, but seeing as people have passed without doing so before, I think it's pretty clear that we don't need to pay just to have a shot at making the grade. I certainly won't be doing so.
That’s fair enough and each to their own. My view was I really wanted this job so was going to give myself the best opportunity to keep progressing, and as such, I start my course in 2 weeksI've seen traineetraindriverinfo, and to be quite honest, while it has been somewhat useful for me, I do not think it's worth paying for any practice material. Amazing news mate! So with the group bourdon I’m using the how2become book they have and I’m currently completing a full page (thinks it’s 11x15 boxes with dots) in just under a minute perfectly or with 1 error. Do you or anyone think that’s a good pace? Just so I can gauge where I’m at thanks in advance guys! That’s fair enough and each to their own. I'm usually a little slower than that and passed to enhanced back in 2013. Remember, it's primarily a concentration test, not a speed test. Whilst speed is important, never go faster than you can concentrate on the primary task of identifying four dots.Amazing news mate! Yes you would have no trouble with that accuracy and speed, if anything you could probably slow down slightly and ensure 100% correct.Amazing news mate! The ones I’ve got purchased through trainee train driver have 15 rows and go 25 across. 2 minutes x 5 sets.Amazing news mate! That's good to hear, but what does shortlisted for the next stage mean?First post on this forum and a Euston applicant, hope everyone is well!
I've just been notified that I've been shortlisted for the next stage of the process after having completed the M7 and VSE.
So for those who are waiting, don't lose hope!
If he's shortlisted it usually means he's got through to the next stage, but if he's not been given a date they're probably waiting to book one. That's good to hear, but what does shortlisted for the next stage mean?
Apologies for the confusion, I've been invited to a assessment centre and will sit the following:That's good to hear, but what does shortlisted for the next stage mean?
