Is 403 back at Bo'ness?
It wasn't yesterday and I can't see an STP path in yet, but as it's been running 4 turns a day at NYMR it may be a last minute trip.

It will be good to have them together for a run up the hill though!

I’ve got a technical question about those two locos, does anyone know who fitted the OTMR & TPWS on each of them?

Not sure who signed it off but I am assuming both locos went off Bo ness into FOC service with the kit. I am also guessing 37025 had most of it's OTMR from when it worked for EWS before it's first retirement.

I also have a question - before both went out on hire. there were plans to through pipe / cable each so that they run run dual heat on the SRPS stock. I have a feeling 37025 had it's steam pipes refitted and I think there was a plan to hide ETH jumpers behind flaps in the nose ends. Also believe 37403
was to get a through steam pipe.

How much of this happened (or didn't) before 37025 went to Colas and 374033 to DRS ?

TIA

As far as I’m aware, both are fitted with Arrowvale OTMR. I don’t think EWS retained any 37/0s for very long.

37025 has the original steam boiler fitted, no ETH facility as far as I’m aware. The refurbished 37/4s are the opposite; ETH fitted, with the steam boilers removed to free up space in the clean air room.

I understand 403 is currently owned/operated by WCRC?

37403 is owned by SRPS - WCRC are the TOC who are used for movements but they certainly don't own it...... the very thought....

Thanks, I'll check that against my records.

I doubt it would have spent so long on hire to DRS had it been a WCRC owned machine!

37025 has had a through ETH cable fitted so if double headed with a 37/4, there was no need for the 37/4 to be always next to the stock.

So 37025 is through piped, if that makes sense in a ETH way?

37403 bought by SRPS in 2008, rebuilt, hired to DRs for use on various services including Cumbrian coast, returned to SRPS following a failure and once rebuilt hired to NYMR.

A cab run in the Class 614 hydrogen train during September this year.

Hopefully the vehicle will be on display at the station this week during the diesel gala on 29th December 2022.

A video of Class 25235s bogie restoration during 2019.
This includes seized nut and bush removal from various bogie parts.
Also included is the new manufacture of bushes and bogie pins on the lathe.

A video of the Class 84 being removed from The Scottish Railway museum on 4th January.
The loco is being returned to the NRM at York by road from Bo'ness.
