Wow, that's 128 new drivers a year if they kept that up!
There looks to be a huge expansion going on at the moment. I know TFW took sole ownership of all operations after COVID so maybe they are changing the way they run things. The job listings on the careers website seem to be heavily based on expanding and recruiting but the instructor jobs are all 12 month secondments so maybe they are planning on a short term expansion. I imagine that this year there will be lots of new drivers then afterwards it will probably slow significantly. A job has even come up to expand the recruitment team so maybe they will be able to speed up the application processing shortly.

I'm still showing as 'shortlisting' - anyone else? Is that likely to be it, or am I still in with a chance?
50/50. TFW have contacted many people 7-8-9 months later after initial application, as seen in this thread of the 2020 intake.
I had mine last Wednesday and they emailed this morning, maybe some point today for you too

I don't think it ever changes from that once you pass the sift. One member is currently in training and still showing as shortlisting

I'm showing as shortlisting on my application but I have already been shortlisted. I don't think it ever changes.

I sent an email with my application making sure they were aware I'm able to relocate, which they replied to positively, so I'm hoping it's not that!
They can be any day of the week. The recruitment team is very small so it depends if they are busy with computer testing/mmi interviews in Cardiff or not.

A friend failed the Cables and Dials test a few years ago, Can anyone confirm that the outer numbers are totally irrelevant until the pointer is in The same segment on 2 or more dials? and in the real test that all the dials in a single row (HPLA for instance) will have the same outer numbers on each dial for that question. (for example) can for instanc.. Heat and light Dial have 25/50/75/100 outer numbers and power and Air dials have 5/10/15/20?

Yes outer numbers only come into play when one or more dial has the needle in the same colour priority. Yes the outer numbers can be different on each dial.

So basically, H & P could have a needle in same ie.. Grey segment.. But you could have
H marked 2,4,6,8 &
P marked 10,20,30,40.
Then you would go with H as its a lower value even though needles are identical area?.

It’s all explained in great detail before you do the test and you get practise material to do before it. I wouldn’t worry about knowing what to do before hand. Every test on the paper tests is really straight forward and there is nothing to catch you out. The group bourdon is probably the only thing you need to look at beforehand. The computer tests are more difficult and there’s not much you can do to practise them so just turn up well rested, try your best and if the job is for you then you should pass.

Ive seen the practice dials on another thread here that shows all dials as HPLA and the outer numbers all heaving the same Value, Just intrigued to know if HPLA dials in 1 question on actual can actually all have different outer number values? And how would that work when answering correctly.

The lower the number, the higher the priority. So if you have two dials with the marker in the same section you put the lowest number first.

It was a week from the assessment day for me.
I failed how did you do?
For me it was 7 days for paper testing, 9 days for MMI
Aw Im sorry to hear this, hopefully you get it next time. How did you think you did after you left? Have they said what part you failed on?
I passed. I’m so sorry, knowing how much I wanted it I can only imagine you felt the same. Get applying once your six months is up. Plenty of people going back for a second go and flying through it
