Took 7 days for me
I took the paper assessment last Wednesday. Heard off recruitment midday today I had passed. So exactly 7 days for me.
Excellent well done , will you now move onto the computer testing ?

I was there yesterday aswell. What a difficult morning. I found the dials test confusing, not confident I've passed tbh. But a good experience all the same!
It was trickier than the practice materials as there was an extra dial! I didn’t manage to finish them but got 3/4 through which I hope was enough.
It’s hard to tell how you’ve done isn’t it as it’s a completely new experience.
Hopefully we’re scrutinising too much and we’re both fine!

I would advocate for accuracy over speed though as with four dials I found it tricky to ensure I was selecting the right answer as other options were so similar in terms of the letters I.e LCHP or LCPH if that makes sense
34 i think, there's some on the back page too. Definitely accuracy is important, but you don't get marked down for incorrect answers so just make sure you do as many as possible
Just because you don’t get marked down for wrong answers I think it’s best to be precise. Doing 20 and getting them right is better than rushing through all 34 and only getting 19 right. Not sure what the pass mark is though.
You don’t get penalised. Some tests will give you points for a correct answer, no points if you don’t answer and then deduct points if you answer incorrectly. In the dials test an incorrect answer just means you don’t get the point instead of losing other points.
Totally opposite to this advice, make sure the ones you do are right rather than try and finish them all!

Indeed, I'm sure there were 43 questions? I got half way, but hopefully they look for quality over quantity. In reality if you've got a fault unless it's time critical they'd want you to take your time to diagnose it properly compared to rushing and messing everything up.
The bourdon test I managed 9 lines on each, which I'm hoping is enough!
Ive been told a week and half itll take for results so fingers crossed for us both .

Out of curiosity, after you did the computer/MMI tests, how long after that was the interview with the driver managers and getting a training start date?
Mine was all pretty quick. I did computer and mmi on 31st May. Result 7th June. Dmi 17th June, then started 5th September

There are 16 driver courses next year. So those who pass won't be waiting long. Talent pool for me was 2 days

What did they say to you about Sunday's? As TFW want Sunday to be part of working week as currently it isn't and you get double time for Sunday
Nothing at the moment. Its going through DRI at the moment with pay etc. Heard whispers but nothing official
That is all I keep hearing is rumours

That's all you're going to hear for now, it's still being discussed at a higher level.
One bit of good news however is the 2022 pay deal has been accepted by ASLEF members so the salaries successful candidates receive will be higher than those that were originally quoted - and there's currently little risk of being dragged into the disputes occurring at other TOCs.

Hi, I have recently undertook the computer test and MMI the other day. Test passed and now waiting results for the MMI. Happy to answer any questions anyone has.
I see a lot of people worrying about response times. When I was given dates to choose from regarding the test, I took approximately a whole day and I still got a reply quite soon(within 2 days). As they score your original application, they know who they would prefer to give the dates out too first.

When you say there are 16 Driver Courses next year is that 16 driver jobs or courses with multiple jobs?
How many trainees are generally on each course?
8 on each course.
So basically if you don't get a date at first time of asking it is because you have been scored lower than the other people who replied and got responses? The email they sent does say it's first come first serve.

Yes mate, I guess so. I know for a fact your application gets scored. That’s the only things that makes sense if people are replying within 10 minutes and still not getting a response.
