When did VD become STI? Weren't they called STDs for a while in between, to the hilarity of those talking about telephone dialling codes? Maybe it was about the same time that 'continental quilts' became 'duvets', or 'savoury flans' became 'quiches'.

STI is a fairly recent renaming from STD, within the last 5 years or so. I think the term DISEASE was a bit disheartening to those at the clinic who forgot to "rubber up", so the terminology was changed to the less threatening sounding "Infection".

Actually, better still, remind me to just pretend I have a non-intimate girlfriend. Someone I can talk to and pretend that we are in love. Imaginary girlfriends are very easy to talk to for the most part, and when they aren't you can "magic" them away..."

I suppose there are others on the forum who are single too, and they don't make a big deal over it. I am sure if you forget about things like this, you'll find someone eventually...

Listen folks, being single has a lot of advantages. Not least being able to go out bashing whenever you want. I'm at the age now when I've been married sooooo long that I look pretty enviously at people with no ties. Maybe the green simply looks greener from a distance, but up close may well be covered in dog turds.
