Good afternoon,
I'm trying to plan a SWR 455 itinerary, can anyone tell me if London Waterloo to Dorking is a class 455 service?

It is. Almost solidly. Even during regular 450 substitutions in the summer, the Desiros tended to work Guildford services and the Dorkings remained almost (!) untouched.

Of course, start of the year and you could have got a 455 from Victoria to Dorking too ;):D

Enjoy.

In very general terms the further south the suburban line, higher the chance of 455 workings

The suburban workings furthest north (Hounslow and via Richmond) will see more 707s and 458s

mainly 450/458s on the windsor side these days. there is a stray 707 in the am peak which comes up from weybridge via hounslow and then runs as a hounslow rounder before going to the depot, and the rest of the 707s run on the sheppy line via Kingston, one PM peak via richmond is also a 707.
Nearly all "suburban" services on the mainline side are worked by 455's, except a few am / pm peak woking stoppers which use 450s instead

All Dorking services are booked 455 but other traction does turn up sometimes on weekends.
