Paddington-BTM
BTM-Plymouth.

Yes, there is no problem going via Bristol from London to Plymouth on a super off-peak single between those destinations.

Yes, it is any permitted. Not sure I’d risk going via Honiton with the current state of the WoE line.

Is showing Any Permitted and Via Honiton. The Any Permitted can use of course used direct (i.e. the Reading to Taunton line that goes through Westbury, not always calling) or via Bristol.

I think for Exeter its Taunton/Honiton, for destinations beyond Exeter its Any Permitted/Honiton. I think Any Permitted is preferred because the sleeper used to be routed via Honiton on Sundays and it was common for GWR trains to be diverted that way during flooding at Cowley Bridge.
Exeter is a special case because of the Network Railcard and its implications on GWRs revenue.

Ah yes. It’s Exeter that has Honiton and Taunton routes, but not anything further west.
