Got a message this morning about booking into assesment centre for Cardiff, within the hour I got an email saying it was full. Crazy. Is this one of the reaction tests?
Exact same happened to me at the start of this year, twice! Got an email in first week of January, in which I replied to point out a potential typo (offering an assessment date of December this year). I emailed back a second time to confirm my attendance despite the iffy date, within an hour of receiving the invitation, only to be told the slots had been filled. I was on annual leave that week, and couldn't have replied any quicker.

The second occasion was literally two weeks later. I was on shift between 07:30 until 16:30, and not allowed to have my phone in my posession at work. Got invited to assessments at 09:30. At 11:30 I was told the slots were allocated yet again. I did not get to read either message until 16:40.

Think so? Did it mention paper or computer tests?

They ran the paper tests up in Chester for a bunch of us, maybe they're doing the paper tests in Cardiff for those who applied there though.

cant be a test, just seems a bit unfair to be first come first served...the email just said assesment, no mention of either computer or paper. So there are 2 seperate days of assesments?

They are doing it in the training centre now so in smaller groups.

It was in the hotel before so did it in blocks of about 20 or more.
Now it's in 4s and 6s due to other training.

There will be other dates, but keep an eye on emails and you do need to be quick. Even when I did it in the hotel they were all gone within the hour

Probably been asked before, but if you already have psychometrics, how old do TfW allow them before you have to resit?

Shortlisted.

Wouldn’t mind but I’ve already done them once, and that was enough. Urgh.
At least if you've passed them before you know what to expect. My 2 years were up in March so I'm going through it again. Annoying as most TOCs say 5 years

Has anyone heard back about the computer assessments yet?

(Especially anyone else who did their paper assessment on the 5th or 6th October)

Yep, mine does , I know emails went out again today for assessment invites !
So, please forgive my ignorance here. This is the first time ive had a real crack at applying. Am I to think that I'm not going to progress if I havent heard back by now? I applied for Crewe.

Not necessarily, they only seem to be doing so many at a time as they seem to be booking people in in batches

Nothing yet, cutting it a bit fine if they want people to attend on the 17th for the next stage! Possibly today or tomorrow I'd have thought, 7 days from testing to results

I’ve still not heard back for the position at Crewe. Hoping to hear today if people were getting responses Mon/Tues.

It would be highly unprofessional of TFW to give out assessment invites for stage 2 candidates for the week commencing the 17th, let alone the 17th itself at such late a juncture.

Not enough preparation time, especially if the candidate doesn’t even know yet whether they have passed stage 1.

Have TFW informed candidates of their stage 1 assessment results for the latest intake?

Extremely brave. I was too chicken to try again.

17th and 30th were dates given at the assessments for computer testing, would imagine 17th is out of the question now anyway. If I get a positive response today or tomorrow and 17th is available I will do it but only because I'm doing this for a 2nd time so know what is to come. Don't think anyone from last week has had results yet, they said 7 days.

Some say brave, some say silly. Will find out soon enough

Yeah, as someone doing it for the first time no way I'm gonna go for the 17th, even if we get the results today or tomorrow.

Hoping they'll send them back soon, even for those of us who didn't pass the first assessment (do they send some email either way?)

Anyone done the paper assessments for Chester vacancy? I've been shortlisted but waiting for a date for paper assessment.

Does anyone know whether the medical is before the dmi or after and if so how long after, always make me nervous these things.

Another paper assessment date missed for Cardiff role :|
It is crazy. I managed to get the second of the two dates offered for Cardiff and I replied within four minutes of receiving the email. I have been glued to my phone waiting and lucky I can check it during work.
