My deepest condolences to all UK residents on the passing of Her Majesty The Queen. RIP.

A great Queen for the Commonwealth including my nation of Australia. Wonderfully dedicated. Selfless.

The forum has had a (now closed) thread about September 2022 rail strikes called off due to the 10 day national period of mourning before Her Majesty's funeral.

Because I am travelling shortly to UK, what date is the King's investiture likely to be? (Not wishing to be insensitive given HM's passing - merely for information).

Is this likely to mean strikes may be postponed until some time in October? If so, when?

unlikely to be any rail strikes in September. October is likely though.

The coronation won’t be until spring / summer 2023 at the earliest, possibly 2024.

There will be increased demand, sure, most likely from when HM arrives back in London until the funeral. But that won’t be weeks, and we don’t know when it will be yet. I suspect that will be confirmed tomorrow.
