How long do they keep you on file for the assessment centre, was there about 2 years back and passed the symbol test and got through to the interview stage. I've moved house since then and i'm pretty sure my phone number has also changed too now when it comes to have you been before question, do I say yay or nay, does it benefit me to say I've been before (assuming my answers pass the initial phase) or start from scratch. I said yes to a job I applied for last week but other jobs have came up that although further away I'm thinking apply to many may increase my chances of being successful.

Cheers

Two of the things you will get sacked for on the railway… lying and stealing. Definitely be honest!

How long are you kept on file for? Think it was around June/July 2020 when I went to Atrium Court, so just over 2 years ago.

It doesn't matter. Just answer the question honestly. Lying on any part of the application is asking for trouble.

No, not for that. I've passed the initial phase, now got an online assessment (not checked yet) and if I pass that will I have to do the test at atrium court having passed it previously

I think you’d need to contact Scotrail directly for a definitive answer.

Had an absolute disaster at the online maths questions, did the practice round twice and 1st time got 2 answers wrong and missed 2, 2nd time was 1 answer wrong. Went ahead with the assessment and things went downhill pretty quick. Annoying thing is that I passed those things twice before (2nd time was just as COVID hit and things got put on hold and never heard back).
Was weird that the link took me to a test site with Abellio all over it though.

Got an email the other day and I passed the initial assessment, must have done better on the multiple choice based questions rather than the maths based ones.

With psychometric testing, you need to pass all tests. You don't proceed to the next one without passing the previous. I've been waiting 2.5 years for a job as commercial guard with SWR with constant "no updates as of yet." I have an interview with Transport for Wales on OCT 11. I'm unsure if I'll get it, but I'm desperate. All I've wanted is a career on the railway or in aviation.

Probably but genuinely thought I had a disasterous attempt at the numerical based questions, but obvisously did better than I thought.

Hi all, does anyone know what the Scotrail online assessment is about? Math test? SCAAT? Memory test?
Any detailed information is much appreciated, thank you!

I've done 2 in less than 3 years, both times were 2 parts. Scenario based questions (10 -15 questions) with 3 possible answers (most answers were obvious) and the 2nd part was maths based which I'm not gonna lie was so much harder. The maths one has practice questions but they were pretty easy compared to the test.

You get 3 sets of questions with 20 seconds to work out the answer then 10 seconds to answer, then the next 3 is 19 seconds and 10 to amswer, then 18, 17 etc with 10 seconds to answer. Sounds easy but it's like 9 x ? - 45 = 235 (that might not be even a right answer but that was kind of questions)
