Unknown locations: Lancashire? Dalby?

Hi

Can anybody help me identify the locations of the stations in the attached two photographs?

The Black & white one shows 44742 and 45120 taken on 23 May 1967 and appears to be captioned "Lanc".

The colour photo is captioned "Dalby 12/4/??" but it doesn't look like either Old Dalby or Great Dalby.

The signal in the second one could be Irish. I think the second picture could be Dalkey, Ireland.

+1 to your second one, having just had a “walk around” the area on Google Streetview. The slightly raised roof under the central chimney on the station building is a very good match, as is the church tower.

The first number - 44742 - is incorrect as 44742 was a Caprotti 5.

The main hint for Ireland, specifically Dublin area, in the second one is the exceptionally high television aerials on the houses, standard there at the time to receive BBC broadcasts from the transmitter in Northern Ireland.

I've known tall areas to be common with many places but I'm sure it's Dalkey due to the church, right shape and position.

As an aside, anyone else noticed how the Bank Of Ireland's logo's remarkably like the front of Deltic?!

My understanding was that Dublin viewers could pick up signals across the Irish Sea from Wales. Which would explain why those high aerials are all pointing to the East.
