Fan Noise When Motor Reaches Max Speed

Hello

I've noticed that when i have been on the Underground some trains such as the
1992 Stock
1995 Stock
1996 Stock
and Both S Stocks

make a fan noise when they reach max speed etc. etc. and i am wondering why this is
if anyone has any clues on why it would be much appreciated!

Traction Motor Blowers? (Not sure, just guessing).

On the 1992 tube stock you're probably hearing a combination of gearbox noise and brush/commutator noise. On the others, probably gearbox noise.
