It took Northern a little under 5 months to get 195s into service once the training agreement was agreed with the unions/TOC (Feb 2019, in service 1 July 2019). So Dec 2022 is very possible.

Training agreement is not yet in place but is certainly a work in progress and should be signed off in the next few months

I’m unsure on the 3 or so LNR 730/1s, they might be at Old Dably but I’m not 100% on that

When did 002 go back to Old Dalby - my last record had it Old Dalby-Oxley via Litchurch Lane in April 2022
And when was 004 delivered? Must have missed that one arriving

New blue 3/5/6/9 stop car boards have been installed at stations between Mk and Bushey so far in readiness. Currently covered to stop confusion.
There is currently a trial running at some stations for these boards with 350 stock, so not purely 730 stock. Same with cab signage on these platforms

I can't remember, but is there a 12 car stop or is it just an S board which means "anything else"?
In any case 10.730 is pretty much the same length as 12.350, it is only the other lengths that don't have a 350 equivalent.
As I said, there is a signage trial going on. Not directly related to 730 stock at this point given they are not in service. Hence why it's not a complete set

Must be in some way related to 730s given that the only formations possible on the south WCML at the moment are 4, 5, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 car. No current stock operating out of Euston can do 3 or 6 car formations.

Is that correct, I thought S was for all lengths, used where all the buildings are at forward end of platform
There are platforms on Southern with 2-4 car boards and 5-12, but never S on a platform with stops for shorter trains

I am sure I have seen S in conjunction with others.
There are also blue 4/8/12 boards too but they weren't mentioned upthread. Not sure why there are so many different boards, I thought the 730s to replace 319s were all 5 car units to run as 5/10 car

They are, but upthread there's talk of the WMR 3 car units doing a stint down south before the 5s turn up in order to allow the frankly knackered 319s to go in the bin.
Or perhaps more likely some driver training being done on the WCML as easier to path than the XCity?
Quite likely as we were told months ago that units would be setup at Bletchley for training sometime after Shrewsbury compete 196 training

First class 730 move to Bletchley will take place on Monday 22nd August with a second on Thursday 25th August, loco hauled by Rail Operations Group. No timings yet.
Night testing on the West Coast Main Line South to take place in the week beginning 12th September for proving and signal sighting.

5x 3 car sets have been signed off now - 008-012, signal sighting is ongoing across cross city lines which should be completed soon.
Talks ongoing with ROSCO (Corelink) and Alstom regarding maintenance whilst work at depots is done.
