800008 on Reading Traincare Depot 11/7

Trainbow 800008 was oddly sat on the depot on Mon 11/7 and still there Tue 12/7. Haven't ever noticed one there before, and obviously Reading isn't a Hitachi site. Any ideas?

I notice one wheel set is on wheel skates, so I’m going to guess severe flats. It’ll be interesting to see where it goes from here if so

Has been there for a while, broke down and was the 1001 from Bristol. stuck there from around 11 - 2, caused quite the mess blocking the main line

It will be a 20mph move (over plain lines) with riders so it will take time to get that all organised with NR, who have other things on their mind at the moment.

800008 is moving from Reading to North Pole today and is underway currently (yes I know it's a strike day).

Presumably that works quite well as with fewer trains running it means less disruption for other services.

Just left Dawley Loop - going in Hayes Loop. Railtour mode - Slough, Langley, Iver & Dawley and now Hayes loop.

1410 Hayes Loop - forward to Hanwell Bridge Loop.
1445 Hanwell Bridge - to W Ealing Loop, dep 1457.
1708 - just dropping on N Pole after reversing behind 109 signal on Line 3.
