I know Mark 3A TSO 12140 tested various bogies during the late 1980s
Initially it had SIG bogies, appearing in blue / grey livery on the WCML
It then had those replaced with the BREL T4 bogie, but didn't carry them very long
A replacement BREL T4 bogie was then fitted, and this design became the BT41 used on Class 158 and the Mark 3B DVT :
http://125trainzphotos.fotopic.net/p46120191.html

I know another Mark 3A TSO also tested bogies, but I cannot find which one
Any and all assistance welcome

You mean BT46.....
No, the BT46 became the designation for the SIG bogie, as fitted to the Mark 4 coaches

The BREL T4 became the BT41
The powered bogie on a Class 158 was classed as a P4 and designated BP41

You're confusing the designations. The T4 is known as the BT46, as fitted to Mk3 DVTs and 158s. BT41s are fitted to the Mk4s as you say.

Found it, it's the BREL SIG bogie order form that has them round the wrong way, then compared and it lists SIG as BT41 and then SIG as BT46
Apologies, as the other sources just list T4, SIG, BT41, and BT46

To clarify :
T4 = BT46
SIG = BT41
Under a Class 158 the powered one is the P4 / BP46 and the trailer is T4 / BT46

The other Mark 3A TSO was 12093, with BT15 bogies
Now to find photos of it with these bogies between 1988 and 1993

According to Platform 5 L&CS 1986, the following Mark 3As weren't fitted with BT10 bogies: -

11032 - BT15
12056 - BT7
12062 - BT15
12093 - BT15

Some of the Irish mkIII push-pull driving cars had Linke Hoffmann Busch bogies fitted. They were restricted in speed compared to the rest of the fleet, but were later refitted by Iarnród Éireann with second hand ex-BR bogies in the 2000s when they transferred from Connolly based outer-suburban duties to Heuston based Intercity workings.

How would that work? The track gauge is different.

Many thanks, the BT7 is listed but not actually shown beside any specific coach
I took photos of these coaches in the 1980s, but they no longer exist, and I can't find any specific photos of these coaches
If anyone can provide links to such photos, many thanks

From memory the BT15 is almost identical to the BT10 (making it difficult to identify unless closeup)
From memory the BT7 looks very similar to the bogies under a Class 314 EMU
I can't find any photos of either of these bogies, but I am most interested in the BT7 (once I've seen it I will remember what it looks like)

The BT15 used rubber as the primary suspension rather than air, whilst the BT7 was a LHCS version of the BX1 used on the 313/314/315/507/508 EMUs.
