Does anyone know if the resourcing team works on Saturdays? I missed a call from them at 1600 and now it just goes to voicemail. I’ve left one but if it’s the call I think it is I don’t want to wait until Monday!!

Yep, York for me as well, starting on the 17th

It is 13 weeks since the date the job was advertised (If the job is vacant at that point) OR the point which the job becomes vacant after the 13 weeks from the date of advertisement.

Regarding pay due to correct enforcement of an old rule you will only get your previous grade while training, unless you claim as above via the 13 week rule if eligible.

Ive got start date of 5th Sept...but no date for IST

I do have to wait till tomorrow. Not annoying in the slightest haha!! When people are put on the reserve list are they told via email or phone? I don’t want to get too excited until I hear from them

I never got a phone call when I went the first time and was told via email that I was placed on a reserve list. I think they'll try and call you first thing tomorrow, fingers crossed for you but I'm sure it's a good news phone call.

Hi. I've got my virtual interview on Thursday. How much info roughly are you gonna need to know off by heart about Network rail as a company? Is this something they focus on or will it just be a quick question or two to see you have done your research?

Based on my interview, not much. They will likely ask why you want to join NR and why you want to be a signaller. Then for me most of the other questions were asking for examples of the Non Technical Skills, which you can find listed on the Network rail website!

I’d say if you practice examples for each NTS and have a small amount of background on Network rail you should be fine!

I just want to understand the job a bit more.

That’ll be one of the questions they’ll ask at interview. Read the rule book, read notices, tidy the box and so on. Don’t say have a kip or watch TV though.

I've recently applied for the signalling job at Derby and Birmingham. The Birmingham advert only closed recently so not expecting to hear back from that yet. The derby one closed mid last month and I've heard nothing back as of yet. I emailed a day after it closing to say how interested I was and when I could expect to hear back, they said in a few weeks but if unsuccessful it'll be sooner rather than later. I emailed again last week and they've said the team are currently going through all applications and shortlisting. I was just wondering how long it usually takes to hear back in people's recent experience?

For me it was 24hrs to receive the email to undertake the online assessments which was before the job closing date and then 3 weeks until I was invited for an interview and video assessments. However I believe it can vary depending on the recruitment teams current workload so don't be put off.

I am booked in for an interview tomorrow but i haven't been told anything about doing additional exercises. I did exercises prior to getting an interview. Has anyone who's had an interview recently. I've recently had an interview and was not required to do any additional exercises at the same time. I had previously completed 2 online assessments before my interview.
