Yes, i have seen this (not on this forum, so I think this the 1st). Very attractive offer. No restrictions on the peak services, and can pay on the day aswell. Will having a trip next week I think, then walk up to Euston for a spin behind the 90 to Milton Keynes, if its out.

Hopefully take advantage of this - I quite enjoy the 180s, especially at 125!

Quite a good deal, although not too good a deal to travel from York to somewhere on the GC West Riding network to take advantage of it.

Grand Central always offer the full range of tickets for purchase on board (even if you board at a manned station).

Is this offer valid for a return from London or is it just for a return to London?

Also, is the return valid for any day in Fby, or is it same day?

It does say something to the effect that "Travel can be made on any Grand Central train operating between Bradford Interchange and London Kings Cross, in either direction." I was reading that as an attempt to say Bradford/Pontefract - Kings Cross or vice versa.

I'm not sure why Grand Central don't seem to do more to promote travel from London to West Riding, particulaly on the morning Northbound and evening Southbound, surely they have nothing to loose by filling the empty seats at £25 a time?

When I clicked on the £25 offer it transfers to a standard booking form with no such deals.

If you fill it out (And boy are the defaults in it bad, being earlier today) and search it finds the cheap fares. It appears the £25 fare is not limited to being a day return. It is not offered in the other direction.

The website (now) indicates it is available in both directions.

Seems easier to get on a train and say 'twenty five quid return, please' and hope there's a seat. I haven't been on a IC125 for ages.

Sadly you won't be able to on this offer, as only 180s operate on the West Riding route.

This offer is getting pretty popular - there aren't many spare seats on the first Bradford-King's Cross this morning.

Offer extended to 13 March, and return travel allowed for a month (e.g. a ticket bought on 13 March may be used until 12 April).

The offer previously insisted that all travel was completed by 28 February.

Pity it's not available in FC too - even at (say) £50 return, this would be excellent value for money.

Despite this, GC have just released more Mobitix tickets at £33.50 single.

Are GC the only operator to charge more for promotional advance purchase single tickets than for return tickets bought on board?

What a shambles!

Shame they aren't doing any for the Sunderland services (more than likely due to the fact they know this route is profitable now and they don't need to have promos to attract customers).

There are some £15 starting price singles on the 08something Kings + to York and stations north available a few days in Advance via Mobitix, but that seems about it in the way of offers. No corresponding deal for returning.

Haven't travelled on this route yet as it Branches off the East Coast main line though if they still do a £25 ticket it might be worth a ride and I'm not a Grand central user but have travelled on it from Hartlepool coming back from football

Normally only go to London for the day so the morning ticket is of little use. Shame as it means more money going towards EC Advance tickets.
