Manchester Picc to Exeter 08:07 23rd April

We have caught this Cross Country service from Man to Exeter on many occasions when I come to look and book seats for the 23rd April it does not show, yet the service shows the week before and week after. I cannot find any reference on the net with regard to services being cancelled at all over that weekend. Although I now it is Easter and travel does get heavily disrupted. Cross Country CS dept are not very helpful and just advise me to look later.

Can anybody out there provide any further details or where to look.

It is Easter Sunday so there may be engineering work on and AXC may have not produced full details yet.

April 23rd is Easter Saturday, and tickets ar enot on sale yet for that date on most of the TOC's. I know, I;ve checked myself! I can buy TPE tickets for the 22nd though...

Thanks for the replies.

Well I guess there is some work taking place between Cheltenham and Gloucester as the Friday trains are all being replaced by buses between the 2 stations.

On Saturday the work must ramp up as the link from Manc to Cheltenham is not there. The other options are Reading and get the GWR across or Newport/Bristol.


Let me explain that to the wife and 5 kids we are taking!!!

When I checked this weekend the NRE site claimed that AXC tickets were available for up to and including the 22nd of April, but of course when I went to look they weren't!

I will keep checking every day until the tickets I want do go on sale!
