I couldn't even watch the whole video. That was awful! I do have a pretty bad fear of heights.

I couldnt bear to watch half of that!! strange really, i dont mind the scariest rollercoaster and fairground rides, bring 'em on.. and I love flying but i have no head for heights at all.. if i see someone looking over the top of a tall building on the tv my stomach turns over..:eek:

I just hope they are on a good hourly rate for that!! (and a free parachute for getting down quickly)

I've climbed a 150ft radio mast before and even that was scary. I can't decide whether I'd like to climb a 1700ft mast!

I'm a bit of a thrill seeker and I love heights so I probably would.

He's free climbing. IIRC, when this first appeared on the internet, the commentary said something about free climbing being perfectly legal etc. in the US which it isn't. The video then disappeared from where it was originally hosted, apparently at the request of the climber as he shouldn't have been climbing like that and was worried about losing his job. But by that point it had been mirrored on plenty of other sites anyway.

The video linked to does say in the commentary that he is free climbing and that it is permitted. Not sure at what point though as it was a few hours ago I watched it.

How do these people do it? No matter how fearless you think you are, you're going to be scared sh*tless the first time you climb that thing. Surely that would put you off for life, regardless of the hourly wage.
